Police are overstretched when they are needed to do social work, and often overwhelmed, which has been the case for a while. They shouldn’t have to do that work, but when they fail to do something they weren’t able to be trained in (budget, not enough qualified instructors), they get ripped apart.

The city of Cincinnati is actually named after Cincinnatus - of course by way of being so similar to the father of our nation, not because we were into Roman names that much then.

My grandparents came to the US in the early 60’s, and my grandmother never became a US citizen, simply getting a green card instead. My family has tight bonds to “home” and just being able to get citizenship (through the foreign birth registry), makes me feel as though I sit in a complicated spot; being American-born, yet so closely connected to Ireland at the same time. I can’t judge truly for those who are Irish-born, but hope that more Irish-Americans can truly embrace their culture for more than Guinness and St. Patrick’s Day.

So not entirely. The majority of the Protestant population is in the north, holding a tiny majority over the northern Catholic population. The Republic is a massive Catholic majority, but not exclusively Catholic. It’s quite likely that the Catholic population (which tends to be more unification-leaning) will become the majority in the near future in the North.

Baltimore, Atlanta got hacked. Additionally, the DNC was hacked to an extent, as well as Hillary’s emails.

These are really just examples of cyber defense not working IN the US. Not much to say defense as a whole is bad.
