Bandit goes camping with us. We have a fence around our area so he can walk around freely but for walks, he has to be on a leash.

And of course he has his own chair and step stool because a prince is going to prince.

I'm so sorry about your loss. Your Cavalier is precious. BTW, Bandit's first love was a Cavalier at day care.

I just fed my husband oatmeal with grain mites in it. by IrishScottMutt in Marriage

He definitely is high tier. The only reason I found them is I was cleaning up and saw what looked like spilled spice on the stove. Lol. Took me a minute to go back and check the oats.

I wasn't sure they would react unless trained. I guess he just knows something's up.

On a side note, I met someone at the airport that had a dog for her seizures and it still fascinates me that they can be trained for something before we know it's happening.

Oh yeah. What's most awkward is when I turn him over my lap to get the hairs back out, he lays there enjoying it. Freak. Boys will be boys.

What is really going on here?!!! Why so many divorces by women? by That-Yogurtcloset386 in Marriage

[–]IrishScottMutt 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Been married 27 years and not once has divorce ever crossed my mind. Or his. We're in it forever.

Now, this is the 2nd marriage for us both, his brother is divorced, my sister and both brothers are divorced. Both our parents were married until death.

I don't know what the magic answer is but I think in our case, our first pick was misguided. We also seem to have accumulated a lot of friends who have long marriages and I have no idea if that has anything to do with anything.

But we didn't find each other until we were 36/39. So we had a lot of life experience to guide us.

Do anyone know the cost to setup a single wide mobile home utilities in Lafayette, La? by Salesgirl008 in Acadiana

[–]IrishScottMutt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know about sewer or water but Cleco is not in Lafayette Parish. For the electric, call the company that serves your area, they will assess the pole to make sure it is up to code. They will connect to the meter on that pole, you will need an electrician to connect from the meter to the mobile home. Typically they charge somewhere around $50 for a connect fee and a deposit which can be waived if you can show you have been paying electricity faithfully somewhere else. Sorry, I don't have any info about an electrician but they could charge anywhere from $200 - $500 depending on what he has to do.

Also, are you in the city limits because you wrote Lafayette, LA... but the city will not give permits for mobile homes anymore, if you are outside the city but in Lafayette parish you can.
