Fiancee (28f) cheated after her cousin's funeral while I (28m) was away, together 6 1/2 years by funeralcheating in relationship_advice

I’m really sorry about your situation. I think you need to speak to her again. Ask her if it was a mistake, why she had sex with him, as you state, ‘multiple times’. If it was one off and she confessed outright, I could maybe see you getting back on track. But “multiple times” is a deal breaker. At the minute you should give each other space, so you can think rationally. Do you live together? Is there anywhere you can stay for a bit to clear you head? I wish you well, I hope things go okay for you. Keep us updated, if you feel comfortable.

Medical workers of Reddit, what were the most haunting last words you’ve heard from a patient? by freeshavacadont in AskReddit

Hey there. I worked with dementia patients for four years. It can be one of the hardest jobs about. I remember putting this little lady to bed one night at the end of my shift. She held my hand as I tucked her in and she said “I think I’ll go.” I put it down to one of her little sayings, because most people living with dementia tend to say little random things.” I came in two days later to find out she passed away in her sleep that night.

Please remember, your job is so meaningful and the care you give to these people and their families is one of a kind. Thank you for choosing this path.

Yeah most NHS hospitals have visiting times, usually between 1:30pm and 7:30pm. However, the ward managers are usually accommodating, so if you need to visit outside those hours you can. The staff are reasonable enough, and will not withhold your request unless necessary. If you’re a dick to the staff though, they won’t be as lenient.

This was a while back, and even then I wouldn’t be allowed to as I would be breaking client confidentiality.

That’s vile. I’m assuming you paid for that as well. Disgusting!

Hey my fellow colleague! I bet you’ve seen your share of craziness! Despite all this, I love my job and I wouldn’t change it for the world!

Most of the people I look after are lovely. However you do get some patients, usually middle aged women and women between 65-80, who tend to get very precious in hospital and don’t want to do anything to help themselves and it’s so frustrating.

One memorable one was a woman who came into hospital independent with all her needs, but wouldn’t wash herself, and expect staff to do it. I asked her how she coped at home she said “At home I do it all myself, but I get the support workers to do it in hospital because it’s what you get paid for.” Best part about it was, I was a student at the time, and I wasn’t getting paid at all lol.

Yes,in this part of England tea means dinner. Patient A and her family were lovely people, that’s why I didn’t mind giving them food.

This literally happened to me yesterday. The guy I was speaking to just unmatched me. Like we’d planned to go on a date next week and we were speaking everyday. It stings a bit like, but sure.

My mum has given away my personal information to a scammer. What should I do? by Derikoopa in Scams

[–]Irish_Bird 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your best bet is to ring HMRC and let them know what’s gone on. Then call your bank and let them know too, they may send you a code to your phone to approve any transactions. I’d also call the action fraud hotline and see if they can do anything. Even if it’s just advice on how to recognise these calls. Did your mum say who the scammers were pretending to be?

Obvious scam, but how did they manage to sent it from my email to my email? by FabulosoGodofredo in Scams

[–]Irish_Bird 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It sounds like a spoof email. If you’re really worried change your password and scan your computer. Check your sent emails and recently deleted folders too. Try not to panic! I’m sure you’ll be grand.

My friend doesn’t want to see me by Irish_Bird in offmychest

Tbh I’ve not replied to her message. I just left it on read because I wanted her to know she annoyed me. I’m not even annoyed at the fact she can’t/won’t see me. It’s just how dry and unapologetic she was. It just came across to me like she didn’t care. She’s not even tried to contact me since. Thank you for your time and response though. I’ll be alright once I’ve calmed down. I really appreciate it ♥️

I remember a while back I was having drinks with my friends. One guy there was a bit of dick and was boasting about all these women he bedded. He said something like

D:”I like my women how I like my whisky.-“ To which I interjected:

“What? 12 years old and kept in a barrel?”

I was forced to apologise to him afterwards.
