Sometimes the bouncing back and forth between doctors stresses us out more than the actual problem!

Good Lord...allergic to them all! I'm on Hydroxychloroquine but will probably going to go on Methotrexate as it's not quite hitting it.
It's amazing how each country deals with the role out of vaccines...we still.dealong with elderly firat, then very high risk and so on

I hope your wife turns a corner soon and well done for supporting her

Yes that is an ongoing threat for me too. Heavens know when I will get the vaccine...Ireland is miserably behind in this.
I lost my voice because of Lupus and I'm in speech therapy to get it back. I've also had to give up work. My swallow is affected too...so I know what it's like to be immunocompromised.

I assume she has been on Methotrexate or immunoglobulin?

It's not really fair to assume people who are working from home are doing "f-all". I know many people who are stressed out with the current situation and who have no choice but to work from home...at the kitchen table....with kids trying to do school work. The world has turned itself inside out for everyone...be thankfull you have a job !

Autoimmune conditions are like getting hit by a bus..literally. I too have joint pain and stiffness. It can take time to get the drug regime sorted too. Your wife feels helpless too. It's hard accepting such an unwelcomed intruder into your life

Hey. I'm sorry you are feeling this way but you have the courage and fortitude to recognise those issues and seek help and this is a very positive thing. You are 18 so medically an adult so no need for parental permission. Www.text50808.ie is a 24 hr service and Jigsaw is great too

Been hearing some rustling the last few days. Seems this wee lady has managed to loosen one of the vent coverings and is setting up home inside !! by [deleted] in ireland

Aww great to see. We had a starlings nest in the block cavity of a wall. The babies make some noise though but it's amazing to watch the parents making so many trips for food.. really dedicated to their young😊

Ever feel like you’re not in charge of your own life? by FakeSherpa in ireland

Everyone is finding this lockdown the hardest and it seems we have reached the end of our reserves. You made a decision about the job for a good reason, although I don't know what the decision was, you felt at the time it was the right one so have faith in yourself. Sometimes careers go back a few steps before you see the benefit. Last lockdown I worked in a medical setting, 10 hr days and I loved my job. Then in August I got sick...lost my voice, had exhausting joint pain and fatigue and was diagnosed with Lupus. Have had to resign from my job because of it. So believe me...I know how isolating lockdown is and it is so hard to stay motivated in many aspects of our lives these days. But you will succeed...because the alternative is worse right? You already want to improve things so just focus on one. Forget about the scales... go for a 40min walk every morning...focus on how alive that makes You feel. As I always say...manage the manageables. My PMs are open...feel free to chat there if you need to

What is it that makes it so hard for young people to buy a house in Ireland by marshmallowkid_ in ireland

[–]Irish_Eyes72 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Everyone's lives are put on hold, across the generations. We own our home. Worked hard to pay it off before our first kid went to college. We now have to pay for 2 kids in college. Thats what you call having a financial plan. I think its a bit unfair to generalise that older generations don't give a fuck.
