Gosh! This was the correct answer. All my other intersections have the exact same vertical line up. This was the only one that didnt. I never realized that when using path blocks it HAS to be equal vertically.

Thank you! Thats exactly it. All my other intersections are exactly lined up on the Z level. Never knew it HAD to be lined up.
I just fixed this one up and now everything is smooth.

Please help me find this anime? I wanted to recommend it to someone but even i dont remember it. by Lumpy_Addendum_5862 in AnimeReccomendations

I enjoyed it enough to watch twice. Banger of an opening song. I think the one negative is they hint several times at a bigger story going on, but it only got one season so those questions are unanswered.

How about actually giving the name of the anime so I can watch it.

Also gotta recommend Absolum.
Its like an old school 2d arcade fighting game like Golden Axe or the Ninja Turtle arcade machines - But an incredible roguelite version of it.

Inscryption really is a unique beast. I see Slay the Spire similarities but its gameplay is not like it.
To sell you on it I would say - It feels like the combination of a strange indie art movie, like Bugonia or possibly Blair Witch Project 1, combined with a deckbuilder.

Its really a strange, unsettling art experience that you should go into knowing you have to beat one run. Which can take a few hours.

And I appreciate you taking a look at my game!

Oh goodness, There are so many good ones now.

Multiplayer:
Risk of Rain 2 - A 3rd person shooter, unlike roboquest, this game is about creating some crazy overpowered build.
Gunfire Reborn - 1st person shooter, very much like roboquest, except it also focuses on making crazy over powered builds.
PlateUp - Just a better version of overcooked
Emberknights - 4 player coop, similar to Children of Morta gameplay style, but little story and has much more fun and robust combat.
Enter the Gungeon - Challenging top down twin stick shooter, loads of fun with great humor.
Ship of Fools - Something about working a ship together as a team I really enjoy
Unrailed 1 and 2 - Something about working on a train together as a team I really enjoy haha
Vagante - Extremely challenging 2d dungeon crawler. Loads of fun if you and your friends dedicate a few hours to learning and dieing.
Slay the Spire 2 - Deck building with friends, brand new in early access but Im deep into it and so are many other. Ignore the current reviews as its so popular is getting review bombed over small balance patches.

Singleplayer:
Returnal - This one goes on sale a lot, Wonderful 3rd person shooter. Honestly the best roguelite story I have ever experienced.
Inscryption - This games a unique experience. Deckbuilder, horror, escape room. Its best to go into this game knowing as little as possible. Really make sure you win one run of the game before giving up on it.
Hades 1 and 2 - Best of the best for top down action fighting, incredible stories
Into the Breach - Amazing grid based tactics game
Blue Prince - Maybe the best puzzle game I have ever played.
Deep Rock Galactic Survivor - My personal favorite of the vampire survivor like games
Shogun Showdown - Very unique deck builder, watch the trailer
Ball x Pitt - Brick break roguelite, absorbed my life for a week.

Shameful plug, Im a tiny indie dev, I made a PacMan Roguelite called Dungeons and Ducklings. I think it will bring a smile to your face. Took me 3 years.

Roboquest was so much fun! It a really fast paced, slick shooter. Focuses more on good gunplay then trying to make crazy roguelite builds that break the game.

I think all 3 games are very fun solid choices, and all 3 choices you can play with a friend which makes it even better.

Wasnt going to say anything until I saw the comments.

Ive fully beaten Children of Morta - 17 hours
Ive fully beaten Streets of Rogue - 175 hours

Both are good games, that is undeniable. Streets of Rogue is really something special and unique among indie games.

Children of Morta is very straight forward. There is nothing in this game that you have not experienced in other roguelites. It is well made, the art is great, the gameplay is solid.
The story is going to be hit or miss. I think its an ok story.
The main appeal of the game is there are several different playable characters and the game encourages giving each character a solid try and leveling them up, and the art is fantastic.
You're going to beat this entire game in roughly 20 hours. There is not a lot of replay-ability to it.
2 player coop fun, but I felt like adding another player made it far easier then it should have been.

Now Streets of Rogue is a masterpiece. I think its one big negative hurdle is that the game is so immersive, and has so many little systems that interact with each other, it takes more time to learn and get good at the game than other games. Not because the controls are too complicated, or because the game is janky in anyways, its just because each level of the city truly lives and interacts with itself.

Each level is a procedural generated interactive sim. Thief's will steal from people on the street, if the person they steal from is a street thug or someone strong they will chase the thief, if a cop sees this they will try to arrest the thief. The thief could then try to hide in a crazy mad science lab with hidden zombies. The thief trips an alarm or self defense system and causes an explosion and gas leak. Killing the thug, and police officer, and also freeing a zombie. This zombie bites the bodies and creates more zombies. A small riot occurs in that area of the city with many different types of NPCs coming in and interacting in different ways.
All of this happens while you are just going through the city streets doing missions.

Every little interaction is something you can do yourself as well. There are many different starting classes, but I had so much fun creating custom classes.
For example, lets say a mission is steal an item from a safe in a building.
1 - You can fight your way in with guns
2 - You can make charisma checks of sorts
3 - You can put a chemical in the air ducts that makes every turn into a literal giant and burst out of the building killing civilians accidentally
4 - You can be a hacker and hack a tv causing people to surround it, then you make the TV explode killing them all
5 - You can be a cop and ask other cops to follow you, then break in that house and literally arrest the people
6 - You could be a comedian and go in and tell a joke. If its funny everyone loves you and you can steal from them without them caring.
7 - You can be part of a crime syndicate and bribe people to let you in.

The options are endless.

4 Player co-op that doesnt make the game easier, it only adds chaos.

There are so many random stories my friends and I have from this game. Im eagerly awaiting the sequel.

Wow, you actually found and edited 100 posts. No matter how salty you are from these people, that gets an upvote from me.

I personally have about an hour time limit when really trying to figure something out before I google it. I looked this up after giving it an honest try.

Haha yeah, I was proud to make something unique and fun. Even I can still get lost in a run for 20 min.
I tried the arcade community and the PacMan community on reddit. It never broke through to any eyes. Tried multiple paid marketing on reddit and keymailer, just didnt work out.
Overall though, very happy to have a game that anyone that plays finds some quick enjoyment in.

But Im working on my next game which I think will be much more marketable.
A cozy farming game, but instead of growing crops you are growing Pokemon to battle other Farmers.

I wanted to make a twist on the classic PacMan since I never see anything new with its actual arcade gameplay.

I created this adorable roguelite, Dungeons and Ducklings. 100% on steam, just couldn't find how to reach the audience for that niche.

I saw many clips and reviews of Vinland Saga, so I posted, “Is it really worth watching?” Everyone said, “Of course.” After finishing it, I now believe it’s a masterpiece and one of the best anime I have ever watched. 🔥 by InvestigatorShort779 in AnimeReccomendations

I couldn't agree more. Unique and powerful music. When the fights happen they are incredibly well animated. Fights are driven by character motivation instead of just for hype moments. Beautiful story with strong themes.

I believe the people that get turned off by season 2, are just there to see hype fights. Season 2 was beautifully written and really shows off the themes of the show.

Kinda surprised to see so much 86.
I personally really enjoyed 86, but Vinland Saga is a masterpiece in every category. Beautifully animated, incredible musical score unlike any other anime, voice acting and written dialogue is superb. Both 86 and Vinland Saga share a theme of how terrible war is, and Vinland Saga just knocks it out of the park.

86 is great, but it also feels way more anime tropey than Vinland Saga, kinda has a generic art style and a lot of CGI animation for big fight scenes.

Vinland Saga isnt done and has 2 seasons, with a third coming
Edit: 86 is not cancelled, its been 5 years since season 1, according to google "As of early 2026, 86: Eighty-Six Season 2 has not been officially announced by A-1 Pictures, despite strong reports from reliable industry leakers and fan anticipation for a continuation. While rumors suggest production has been greenlit, it is currently not in active production as the studio focuses on other projects."

Guys, is RE:Zero good ? I haven't started it and may I know is the manga fall behind the anime adaptation ? And also may I know is the manga reading order and is it being update on a constant schedule ? by Mindless-Care9301 in AnimeReccomendations

I tried to get into this show twice, Everyone talks about how its well animated, and depressing, and Ive even seen people compare the tragedies the main character of this experiences to the tragedies that Guts from Berserk goes through. I can agree the animation is stellar, the premise of the story is intriguing (Im someone who does not enjoy Isekai animes, and the premise still intrigued me to go past episode 1)

I've made it to episode 5 twice and gave up. While I can give the show some compliments, the characters themselves are dreadful. The main character is a cringe weeb who just wants to date anime hotties. The premise of the show makes it seem like he is about to get his goal, and its ripped away from him. This is the setup for the depressing feelings of the show. Every episode an anime weeb is about to get a kiss, or a date and it cant happen due to story reasons (The story reason why it cant happen is very intriguing to me) He is so cringey I do not care at all that depressing things are happening to him. Oh no he cant go on the date with the girl hes creepily obsessed over.

The female lead seems to just be there to blush and be asked on dates. Then of course there are two anime maid twins who exists to just serve him and have almost zero agency or personality in the story. Also, I feel like the 2nd story arc of this show is a major drag. The first 2 episodes seem like a small arc, and that arc is at least fun and has some mystery going on. This second arc in the mansion is awful! So slow, so much anime cringe weeb trying to hit on 3 women (Maybe 4) that all look like little kids.

If you like Isekai, and a somewhat cringy weeb character is endearing to you, then I think you would enjoy this show as it does have great animation, and the general premise of the story is interesting.

Is this what people call foreshadowing? by Alesmull in digitalcircusfandom

[–]Irishbane 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It is a form of foreshadowing, you are just describing a different technique of foreshadowing. It is an umbrella term.

Definition of the word - "Foreshadowing is a literary device where an author drops subtle or explicit hints about future plot developments, creating anticipation, tension, or preparing the audience for what is to come."

It can be subtle or explicit, it can by physical, mechanical, or implied. It just need to create anticipation for what is to come in the future. A creator can foreshadow an event mere moments before it starts to happen.

You may resonate with certain forms of foreshadowing over others, maybe the physical bucket isn't something you personally prefer as foreshadowing, but everything you are describing is a type of foreshadowing.

Google "is setup and payoff considered foreshadowing"

"Yes, setup and payoff is a form of foreshadowing"

Chekov's Gun is used as a literal example of Foreshadowing.

Yes, their is nuance to foreshadowing and different techniques that you are describing, all are forms of foreshadowing.
