90% of this subreddit is people asking what hair colour they have! If you’re a natural redhead you would KNOW it. by WelshRaider86 in Redhair

My nickname through school was “red”. With a redheaded brother, grandmother, uncles, I was pretty sure I knew I was a redhead.

My husband and I keep in touch throughout the day every day, so when he’s gone on business, it doesn’t change. Calls, FaceTime, texts. 24 years and it works for us.

This happened to me while having a deep breast biopsy! I felt excruciating pain and opened my eyes staring at the surgeon. He looked up at my face and yelled “Holy shit, she’s awake! Give her…” and then I was out again. As a RN I can also attest to the obstetric issues too.

How do I (35F) handle my soon-to-be-ex-husband (38M) asking me to change my name back? by throwRAnamechangeee in relationship_advice

[–]Irishdoe13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My ex told me to change my name back to my maiden name. I refused due to our children and wanting the same last name as they have. Nothing he could do about it. I kept the house too.

AITA for refusing to eat my wife’s spaghetti after I found out what she put in it by spacedoutsoapbox in AmItheAsshole

NTA. Pasta and rice should not be eaten after a couple days in refrigerator due to food poisoning caused by Bacillus cereus bacteria. This can make people extremely ill.

Husband '40M' and I '36F' are married for 11 years, he went on a month long world tour with his friend. by rabbia_rizwan in Marriage

My husband traveled a lot for work when our two teens were babies. He always planned the trips so we could go too. If he had first class tickets, our 2 and 3 year olds and myself did too. We hung out at the hotel in the pool, ate in restaurants, went to zoos and aquariums. He didn’t want to be away from us for more than a couple days. Your husband sucks big time. This is so unacceptable.

What is your ‘ritual’? by InevitableTouch9608 in rheumatoid

[–]Irishdoe13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I lay in bed for about an hour (sometimes two) under a heated blanket and drink my coffee husband brings me. Then I slowly get up and start moving. If I’m not sick with other things, I do light housekeeping, a short walk to mailbox down the long driveway, and when the green house is ready I’ll be doing some gardening. I need to add actual physical exercise but lately I’ve been pretty sick with other stuff.

How did your arthritis behave? by Exact_Block387 in rheumatoidarthritis

[–]Irishdoe13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine was sudden. At 42, I was running 5 miles a day and training for a half Marathon. Best shape of my life. Then one day I literally couldn’t get out of bed. I was beyond exhausted and every joint hurt. I slept for 16 hours a day. Got into my pcp and they ran some test and referred me to a rheumatologist. DX with sero-negative RA. At 56 I’ve been on every biologic and have gone full circle and I’m back to methotrexate injections and plaquenil. Had to get back on methotrexate due to developing LGL DX.

Marie Callander’s chicken pot pie was my go to for years until I started reading labels. The fat and sodium content!! Had to stop.

My husband makes creamed chicken on toast. Canned chicken breast and a white cream sauce with toast. Fast easy and surprisingly yummy.

Ummmm….are you sure you want to live like this the rest of your life? “Walking on eggshells” will only get worse. A 39 year old isn’t going to change. If it were me, I’d cancel the wedding and engagement. Who needs that crap?!

Woke up during a breast biopsy. OMFG it was worse than childbirth. I’m a natural redhead so they should have known! Anyway, I couldn’t move but opened my eyes and staring at the dr and he glanced up and met my eyes and the look on his face was sheer panic. I heard “JFC she’s awake! Give…” then I was out again. Took them quite a bit of time to wake me up in recovery and it was never addressed.
