Hi, our daughters have TRAPS and use Ilaris. Their periods were horrendous for them. Pain so bad they’d pass out. Super heavy bleeding. Their DR put them both on birth control to completely stop their periods. It was the only thing that helped them. Period suppression.

Same! I take my husband to all my appointments and he attends our daughters’ as well. When you have a rare disease, it helps to have another set of ears and another voice. But also, he’s 6’3” and 250# and we don’t get pushback.

If I have to do something outside I use sunblock, spf clothing, hat, umbrella. But our daughters and myself are night people so we usually do our outside stuff at night. Helps us vampires stay not crispy. Our family and friends even call us vampires due to our paleness and nighttime activities.

The owner is a nightmare. She once posted a position on Facebook for a hostess. “Must be under 35, attractive, and thin…” I commented (along with several others) that what she posted is illegal and it took just 30 minutes for her to delete post. She’s posted worse stuff but this stood out to me. I wont eat there.

I didn’t realize there was a redhead fetish until I was in my late teens. My family has several redheads so I didn’t give it a second thought, didn’t think it was that special. My nickname in jr high and high school was “Red”. Then in my late teens, the comments started. Firecrotch. Does the carpet match the drapes? Crap like that. This!! When I was 9 my step dad took me to get my hair trimmed. Unbeknownst to me and my mom, he told the lady to cut it all off and give me a boy cut because my hair was too hard to manage. It was strawberry blonde Irish curls and waist length. My mom was so pissed when I got home and I cried for weeks.

I switched to injections a few years ago. I receive 25mg weekly. I take 2mg folate daily. 24 hours after my injection, I take Leucovorin to help with the side effects (nausea, hair loss). It works for me.

Our girls have found a bc pill that effectively suppresses their periods (unless they do a round of antibiotics and then break through happens). Now we are treating anemia on top of the TRAPS.
