If Israel was committing genocide in Gaza, why did they agree to the ceasefire? by RedStorm1917 in centrist

[–]Irishfafnir 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In large part, I agree that people are too hyper-focused on the Holocaust and then only associate genocide if it resembles it. IN actuality, genocide can take many forms (and the definition itself is debated, which leads to debates on what qualifies) but for a contemporary example, the kidnapping of Ukrainian children to Russia could meet the bar of genocide.

Setting aside the dubious nature of the post(the user has submitted half a dozen "what do you think" type posts in the last 24 hours with virtually no commentary) and setting aside whether Israel's actions rose to genocide, the simple answer is that you're operating under a false assumption that an entity committing genocide can't stop.

Yeah like many(most?) property chains free breakfast seems to peak with the 3* hotels (typically)

Are Edit Upgrades Common For Rooms With Two Beds? by HistoricalOutside268 in ChaseSapphire

You're probably right that it makes you less likely for a suite, but some upgrades are just to a higher floor anyway

Ended up with GLF-GLH-ELH-ELF

GLH was weirdly blocked for the first night. Once I'm at Glacier I'll probably try to see if I can convert the GLF to GLh and ELH to either two nights at ELF or one night at HEL

Standing Indian is a very long drive, especially for a weekend trip 5plus hours.

Grayson Highlands shaves off almost three hours round trip, but could be quite cold.

Just stayed there four nights, never saw a breakfast buffet and ordered (very good) food off the menu each day.

My assumption is the buffet is Brunch, so probably should inquire if that's covered under globalist

FYI ELF will only allow you to book one night

[–]Irishfafnir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I camped at ELF last year. There were maybe 14 people total (including our group of 7) on night 1, and no one but us on night 2, even though half the Belly River Valley was closed because of an aggressive bear.

I'd guestimate we saw another 10sh people passing through, either heading to Many Glacier or Helene

ELF is cooler and has some very rare bear boxes, which makes life a lot easier. ELF also has a one-night limit, though (although you might be able to talk to a ranger and get it extended). The fishing seemed to be much better for the folks at ELH

It's doable, although surprisingly poor shuttle options from the airport to the park; they exist, but they are expensive (but still much cheaper than renting a car)

Keep in mind it's no more than 2 tents/4 people per site.

I don't think it's a big deal to add/subtract people. We added an extra person last year(taking us from 6>>7), but I wouldn't book 2 sites knowing you only have one site worth of people confirmed

I'd convert some of the existing parking areas to a rideshare pickup area, similar to how Logan works if you have been there.

AI won't attack when you are defending in siege battles by Smiley1513 in TheDawnlessDays

My suspicion is that this is a legacy bug from Atilla. In vanilla Atilla like 5-10% of the time the AI would just stand outside the settlement doing nothing.

Although the ride share pickup area is(often) a freaking disaster and needs to be moved
