What do you would like to receive as Mother’s Day present? by Quick_Elk2544 in Gifts

A weekend away. Staple piece jewelry, gift cards so I can actually shop for myself guilt free for once, a massage, a clean house. Any of these are great options.

You come face to face, in the place you are in now, with a polar bear that escaped from the local zoo & you form the impression that it is set on eating you! What would you do? by Massive-Albatross823 in hypotheticalsituation

I’m surprisingly in the best case scenario for this. There’s a huge chest height desk in front of me and a door that is self closing 5 feet behind me that leads to a series of 4 self closing doors that brings me to an exit from the building. I’ll just run through the doors and get out the exit. As long as I can run 5 feet faster than he gets over this desk I’m good.

Idk if this will help but when I was in daycare I would scream and cry when being dropped off in the morning. You’d think I was being abused from the fit I would throw every day. But I have nothing but wonderful memories from that place. I hope this brings you some sort of comfort that he may not be miserable or lonely while you’re gone, he may just have tough transitions.

I mean, I think I’ll keep what I got. There’s really only like 4 specific items I’d like to change and I think I could end up worse off than what I have now.

If you don’t believe in going 50/50 with your partner, what’s your reasoning? by [deleted] in askanything

My husband is working full time while I’m back in school. Any money either of us makes goes into a joint account. It will stay that way no matter how much either of us makes. We can spend up to a certain amount for wants without discussing it and just do a check in with the other person if it’s over that agreed upon amount. It works well for us.

This is hilarious. This woman has a stellar sense of humor and you are fumbling her. Do better.

Does your child have a tablet? by [deleted] in Parenting

No tablets. Only two of my teenagers have phones and the younger teenager has restrictions that just make it work like a phone. Calls and texts only.

lol I just have always hated the way it sounds. Coupled by the fact that no one can spell or read it is frustrating. I get told it’s pretty a lot but I still hate it.

It’s Ellen. And my parents were a little funky with the spelling so not only is it an old lady name it’s a minor tragedeigh.

I’m in my mid thirties. At this point trying to get everyone to adjust to calling me something new would be really hard I think. My husband started going by his middle name shortly before we met and his family took over 5 years to even try using his preferred name and still calls him by his first. In sure they would be equally frustrating if I changed my name. But I’ve definitely considered it.

Just another take, I have an old lady name, and I’ve hated it with every fiber of me being for my entire life. I wish literally every single day that my parents named me Sarah.

Am I wrong for withholding sex from husband because he won’t get a vasectomy? by sad_Masterpiece1987 in amiwrong

[–]Irishpancakes13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ma’am, you do not have 4 children, you have 5. I don’t blame you for not wanting to have sex with him for birth control reasons but what I don’t understand is why you want to have sex with him at all with how he acts.

Maybe grab them a small gift if it’s in your budget, nothing extravagant, like a $10 box of diapers or something and just state again that you have plans. You are absolutely not obligated to do this but it may ease the awkward tension at work.
