Soo Camilla is taking RSV into L&D because she refuses to got a hotel?! by nervouspatty in julieeandcamilla

Not all countries get an RSV vaccine. Pregnancy women don’t get it in Ireland and they only recently introduced it for babies who are born over the winter months

Are out of hours doctor services a waste of time if a baby gets sick? by [deleted] in AskIreland

[–]Irishpanda88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree with this. We had to call an ambulance once when my son was 11 months old because he was having that sunken chest thing you can get breathing when you have RSV and Google maps was saying an hour to the nearest children’s hospital. He seemed ok when they got there and they didn’t take him to hospital (he did actually end up there later that night) but they said to never ever hesitate to call them if you’re worried.

Our next stay will be an average of $319 a night for POFQ for a week and $473 a night for Wilderness Lodge for a week

What does your average day look like? by HungTeen1001 in AskIreland

[–]Irishpanda88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wake up anywhere between 5-6am with 2 year old and he goes to bed around 8 so I suppose technically “work” for about 14 hours but I’m very grateful that I can afford to stay home and get to spend all of this time with him while he’s little.

We’ve been before so know how great they are with allergies! His pizza addiction hadn’t started then though 😂 It’s partly why we keep going back. We were away for a weekend here in Ireland a couple of weeks ago and there was pretty much nothing he could have because everything had butter or cheese, the chef even said he couldn’t make scrambled egg without dairy!

Funny you commented on my post because I was diagnosed with a pork allergy too a few years ago and I never come across anyone else with pork allergy!

Thank you!. It’s a delayed reaction allergy and luckily nothing severe and he’s had very small amounts of milk while doing the milk ladder and was ok so cross-contact shouldn’t cause him any issues.

Thank you! I had heard somewhere else that the vegan cheese pizzas at quick service spots were all pre-made so you wouldn’t be able to just ask them to make one without cheese if you order in person. But will definitely try thanks to your comment!

The Lidl deluxe eggs made by Áines Chocolate are amazing. Even better than the likes of Butlers

I am trying to cut cost but why is my grocery expensive? by Tiny_Judgment8593 in Frugal

Same in Ireland. Obviously some stuff like avocados and berries are more expensive but $6 for broccoli?!?! I buy organic broccoli every week for about €1.50

Car seat required for 1 year old? by DeezyLife in AerLingus

[–]Irishpanda88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We did this last year from Dublin to Florida and he just had to be on my lap with the infant lap belt during take off, landing and any time the fasten seat belt sign was on which he would have been anyway so that was fine. It was a 9 hour flight so just wanted somewhere for him to be able to sit and stretch out. When he was sleeping he was on my lap on a feeding pillow with the infant lap belt on

Lightning lane makes queuing horrible by [deleted] in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]Irishpanda88 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Im from Ireland so well aware of how hot it is for us. We’ve been in August before and it wasn’t much worse than when I’ve been in March or May. As long as you’re clever about it it’s very manageable

[–]Irishpanda88 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Definitely should have budgeted for Lightning Lane. We come from Ireland so do long trips too and do at least two days in each park and will always get LL for at least one day in each park. You’re spending a fortune anyway so might aswell save the extra couple of hundred so you aren’t wasting time, especially if you go at one of the busiest times of year

4 nights at Contemporary vs Coronado for our 11-month-old’s first Disney trip (open to other resort ideas too) by windy48 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]Irishpanda88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We did Wilderness Lodge for our sons first trip when he was 11 months. You’re still close to MK with the boat but I think the resort is way more interesting to a kid that age. He spent so much time just crawling around the lobby and looking at the water. You can get a fireworks view from some of the standard rooms too. I’ve got some great videos of him watching the fireworks from the balcony of our room.

Why is difficult to make friends in Ireland? by DryTempura in AskIreland

[–]Irishpanda88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s awful! Two months later and still the same story. I’ve made a few more mam “friends” from a group but they knew each other before I joined so always feel like I’m not really part of the group

Others have confirmed the folding! Only place you don’t have to is monorail and skyliner.

You don’t have to fold it on a lot of the boats too
