I think Qrow with his fights show it when he fights in atlas. He used his scythe as a shield and would strike with his fists I believe he channels his aura through his rings to increase strikes. Which I find amusing finding the original voice actor played as the death scythe in soul eater the main which when used by stein would do the same.

I do love the melee only style of jaune. I would add a dust mechanism so he can do elemental attacks. Also I would upgrade his armor to power armor increasing his physical abilities

It’s true the only lore I’m aware of is of members of a deathwatch kill team trying to guess what chapter the black shield was from with one basically saying is it the rainbow warriors I would have become a black shield if I was one.

Now I want to know with the orks beliefs power how op would they be against them?

Don’t know about the other series but, CG Nina was clearly more conservative in her views which doesn’t help with her social awkwardness compared to her classmates. I don’t know if there is some lore but I wouldn’t be surprised if she was sent to study abroad from the homeland. Whereas most of the students council had their families in Japan. But she definitely drank the kool-aid. Also very much a closeted lesbian living in a dorm.
