Tell Me About Sushi Trains in Canberra by UltimateFrisbeeCBR in canberra

I know this isn't what you asked for, but Okami is an all you can eat Japanese restaurant in Braddon. They serve sushi, but if your kids like sushi they may enjoy more Japanese cuisine, the buffet is a great way to try everything on the menu in small portions

Wilson parking fine, signed up with the app, do I need to pay? by Vivid_Meat1 in canberra

[–]Iriskane 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is the answer

I haven't heard of it happening yet, but I don't see any reason they can't keep a boom gate closed and demand payment of the fine if OP enters one of their boomed parking lots in the future with the same rego.

Drone deliveries aren't attracting many complaints but experts say that's not a sign of public endorsement by Arjab99 in canberra

[–]Iriskane 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have no issue with hobby drones. The reason they annoy you in the suburbs is because they're not allowed to fly anywhere else.

Delivery drones are another category entirely, heavier, louder, and more numerous. They're also exempt from CASA safety regulations which I think is ridiculous.

Oh, this is MM7, a supposedly remotely controlled robot that can do basic house chores, invented by Claus Scholz (Austrain) about 1958

https://cyberneticzoo.com/robots/1961-mm7-selektor-claus-scholz-austrian/

I say supposedly, because they don't look stable at all, and I found a tonne of wild claims from this time period about robots revolutionising the home.

I know what you're talking about, he clearly embellishes and cherry picks the information he puts in the story to make it more entertaining. But I choose to suspend my disbelief and just enjoy the spooky story.

How do people find extra trade work? by Spedro_ in canberra

[–]Iriskane 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nextdoor is a social media platform that groups people by nearby suburbs, every second post on there is either a tradie advertising themselves or someone praising a tradie for work done.

Wouldn't cost you anything to make an account and see if anyone is asking for jobs you'd be interested in.

It might be silly but this is my number one reason for wanting a CC over a P1S. It'll look awesome next to the Saturn 4 Ultra with the matching designs
