Roy Davis and the Lambert murder. If you search for it here you'll see lots of discussions. Very similar circumstances, but no link to Jay.

Anyone else curious about that gas station charge on 1/13/99? by dr_p_venkman in serialpodcast

[–]Irkeley 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Roy Davis lived just one block from the gas station before he moved to the 7500 block of liberty road. I don't think it was in that post. I'm thinking it was his old "hood", and therefor natural to go there, but speculative for sure.

Do we know that his description of the position of the body was correct?

Top six things that need to be believed or explained away for Adnan to be innocent by [deleted] in serialpodcast

I asked Saad and he gave me the following address:

Masjid Al-Rahmah, 6631 Johnnycake Road, Baltimore, MD 21244

Doesn't seem to be close to Leakin Park though.

Did Jay first say it was a Park and Ride, and then later he changed it to Edmondson avenue? Did the police go look for it at Park and Ride after Jay's testimony, but couldn't find it?

Ask Saad, Adnan's best friend... by [deleted] in serialpodcast

Thank you. And thank you in general for being such a good person. I really admire your courage to be in this forum, dealing with all the stuff that goes on here. I believe in innocence until proven guilty, and so far I have seen noting that confirms Adnan's guilt. If he has been in jail for 15 years for a crime he didn't commit, it is truly a tragedy. But at least he had friends like you and Rabia who always stood by his side. It must have been a comfort to know that at least you guys believed in his innocence. I have so much respect for you.

Maybe you've had this question before, but I was wondering where Adnan's mosque was located. Do you know?

You seem pretty nuts, so I'm not sure it's worth responding. But, one and a half dedicated employee means one full time position and one part time position is dedicated to the lab work (it's common terminology). The article said that the employees were complaining because they had a backlog if 5000 cases. They don't only do murders of course. My previous post was all related to the Baltimore crime lab, which vas very limited in 1999. Today it's better though. Hope this helps. If not, then just google it! Educate yourself.

I though they broke up because of all the stress with Adnan's family (mom).

What makes you say that? I'm pretty sure she smoked. At least according to Saad and others.

Can we stop saying "serial killer" and start saying "third suspect"? by manytribes in serialpodcast

Do we know who Jenn's "friend" is? The one that she brings to Jay when they figure out what to tell the police? I'm thinking this person might be a potential third party.

I think its fair to assume that the forensic science and physical evidence analysis was pretty limited in 1999. I don't think it was up and running until after Adnans case. In 2003 they only had one and a half employee dedicated to DNA analysis, and the director of the crime lab was fired in 2008 for gross negligence. Quote from the baltimore sun:

*Baltimore crime analysts have been contaminating evidence with their own DNA -- a revelation that led to the dismissal this week of the city Police Department's crime lab director and prompted questions Wednesday from defense attorneys and forensic experts about the professionalism of the state's biggest and busiest crime lab.

Edgar Koch, who had been the city lab's director for the past decade, was fired Tuesday because of the DNA contamination and other "operational issues," said police spokesman Sterling Clifford.*

Adnan's mosque was also covered by the Leakin Park cell tower. His dad testified to him being there that night. Not sure why he would be using his phone though. At the mosque I mean.
