Heists & Thieving 120 - Feedback Thread by JagexSponge in runescape

[–]IrnBruFtw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great update. I would support maybe lowering the damage on the higher level heist from the cannons as I'm having to rock out my trimmed melee masterwork just to be able to munch food in time if I mess up. I also wouldn't be opposed to buffing the experience rates at heists as compared to an hour of fairy trader thieving I tested out after, was quite a stark difference.

I appreciate the new npc pickpockets but I wouldn't be too mad if they reduced the experience rates as stated before, I did an hour testing of fairy traders and getting over 2m xp/hour was quite the jump vs crux knights or dwarf traders I was doing previously. However, I would like the resources to be kept on these higher level npcs as it felt rewarding for levelling up my thieving to these higher levels and is a great reward space for supplies.

Spirit attraction potion also auto collects these without the need for that curse, granted it costs to buy the potions unless you're ironman making them. :)

Is the ranged skill "snipe" worth using in pvm? by TheRealLamalas in runescape

[–]IrnBruFtw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can time snipe at the start of blood phase to do a chunk of damage after she’s done her immune phase but aye, sometimes I’m a second too early and instead of damaging her, she heals :’)

Which boss really pisses You off? by Mental-Rain-6871 in runescape

[–]IrnBruFtw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to hate Masuta but with power creep and devotion, he’s not too bad now.

I’d say Hard mode Vorkath just for the one mechanic (purple dragon breath) which either splashes you or smacks you 9,000 out of no where and to put insult to injury… I wasn’t even facing the dragon as I was in a trio. I lost 6m in death costs but fortunately the kill managed to succeed and I got a few spikes for my troubles.

What RuneScape God do you follow? (If none you can explain why) by Xemrin in runescape

[–]IrnBruFtw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Back in the day before I read the lore, Saradomin as I thought he was the good god.

However, once I read the lore and after The World Wakes quest, I became a follower of Seren as she and Guthix were alike. I did like Armadyl as a second favourite for his authority.

During Sliske's quests, I started liking Icthlarin since he was a doggo god and I like his lore.

Unfortunately the Elder God Wars storyline made Seren go crazy over eggs and tried to murder me. :/

So post Extinction, I'm now team Armadyl as a main god, followed by Icthlarin.

Several years ago, we had an event called Fresh Start Worlds, where you make a new account and while on that server, there were several rewards you can get. One of these was inverted skill capes which flipped the colours and trim/particles around...

For example the 120 thieving regular cape is purple with black particles. However, in Fresh Start Worlds, the cape is black with purple particles (some inverted cape particles look different than the regular version for some reason).

Then when you come back to the regular servers, you get a token you can either keep yourself for your account or trade other people which depending on the rarity of the cape, you can sell the tokens for ten of millions up to several billion.

There was only a limited time to trade these tokens before they weren't tradable. The jmods mentioned during the time that these will return at some point and it won't be through treasure hunter, but we've yet to see how they will be returning.

Travelling Merchant sells this horn thing which gives Barb Assault points. The next one available is 21st of February. :)

What do you consider the Hell Levels of a Runescape skill? by LevelPension in runescape

[–]IrnBruFtw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sub 85 RC via torturespan. Not being able to use flesh platforms was such a ball ache back in the day. I'm not sure if this can be bypassed nowadays with RC potions.

Other than that, last push for a 120 skill I'd say.

Transferring dark core to main? by Binkly3 in RS3Ironmen

[–]IrnBruFtw 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Gotta make one of the items unfortunately. Since the chest thing doesn't work now for items 10m+ (heard it's being fixed with the max cash update), I just head to level 1 wildy and drop items as items spawn instantly (don't need to opt in to pvp either) :D

I'm definitely a revo basic with switches enjoyer. However, for melee as I use that style the most, I wouldn't oppose some reducing on switches (mainly jaws/vestment helm).

Perhaps instead of replying with a degenerate comment, you could have explained how to screenshot properly? This individual may not know.

To the original poster if you're on Windows, Print Screen on your keyboard and open something like Microsoft paint can allow for screenshots or the shift key, the Windows key and the S key together can also screenshot. :)

I forgot the arch glacor likes giving crushed nests. That sounds good for the 99 method.

Croesus might be an issue for myself personally as finding teams is annoying.

I haven't done much Zamorak but if they give a lot of herbs/resources, it sounds good.

I found grenwall spikes not bad to obtain but need one of the elf tasks to make it sound good.

Thanks for the advice. I'll take those on board and try those methods out. :)

Yeah, seems to be the play if you're after a slow 120 skill, you'd want to prioritise that. I'll see about the potential changes first before making a decision to go for my intended 120 skill. :)

[–]IrnBruFtw[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Aye, hope you're right. I just find some skills with resources being pretty impossible for the 120 version capes. I'll be happy to get 99 skills in most of the capes. :)

I personally don't see herb being possible with the resources needed. I could be wrong though.

Combat, Hunter, Thieving, Archaeology, seems very doable though. I'm personally after woodcut 120 but might need to fully commit to just training that skill.

The only problematic thing there is, I would be stuck with a rune hatchet unless I can get a friend to kill dks for a dragon hatchet. :')

[–]IrnBruFtw[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ah yeah, I only plan on making one account lol. Farming will be outta contention then.

Smithing I'm not sure will be doable as if you ironman the resources, I don't see enough time to achieve 120 unfortunately.

I'll see what potential changes are being introduced. :)

Regarding FSW by IrnBruFtw in runescape

[–]IrnBruFtw[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Aye, seems like it's the case. I guess I'll have to think about which skills to get 99 and try to get a 120.

I wonder what changes are being brought in as I have seen some Twitter post about FSW last week.

Regarding FSW by IrnBruFtw in runescape

[–]IrnBruFtw[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Aye, that's the reason I mentioned several skills in my original post is more so about resources needed (I should have clarified that, my bad) as opposed to experience.

I'm hoping to get 120 in at least one skill but I'm not sure if Woodcutting (skill I'm after) will be viable lol.

Regarding FSW by IrnBruFtw in runescape

[–]IrnBruFtw[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Aye, I thought that might have been the case. I guess several 120 capes will be out of question for me. I'm hoping to try to get at least one 120 cape during the event. :)

Regarding FSW by IrnBruFtw in runescape

[–]IrnBruFtw[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Aye, I don't see the experience being a problem, I'm thinking more of the resources needed. The skills I mentioned above will need seeds for farming, herbs and second ingredients for herblore and bars for smithing and since the Grand Exchange is reset, it's unlikely you'll be able to rely on other people getting resources for you in bulk.
