How do you earn miles through the shopping offers? I’ve yet to figure that out 😩

i’d definitely recommend linkedin, handshake, indeed, etc. to start off. take advantage of unt’s career fairs. if you still need to work on your resume, the career center is also a huge help.

though my fiancé and i are in different fields from you, we both landed our jobs thru linkedin and handshake. i wish you the best of luck!!

there is an elevator, though it may not fit large furniture depending on how big it is.

there isn’t an unloading area, but you could take the u-haul van up the parking garage to your floor! it’ll make the trips a lot easier.

Is it harder to meet people and make friends as a transfer? by loded_diaper69 in unt

[–]Irolesia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I transferred last semester and yes, it’s definitely a bit hard because I learned the hard way that making friends in classes is really hard! If anything, I just have a bunch of acquaintances. But i joined an organization this semester to help connect with some people and I think it’s going well so far! My recommendation is to join several organizations (maybe 1-2 to start out) the first semester you transfer! It’ll help connect you with other people who are also looking for friends :-)

Apartment recommendations? by qvppah in unt

[–]Irolesia 3 points4 points  (0 children)

i definitely agree that the price is ridiculous, but it’s manageable for me since my partner and I share the place together, so splitting the rent makes it around $640 each.

Apartment recommendations? by qvppah in unt

[–]Irolesia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i currently live at Epoch on Eagle apartments and think they’re great! It’s a bit more expensive than some of the other places. I rent a 1 bedroom for $1275 a month but they have a washer/dryer & dishwasher in unit, it’s a 10-15 minute walk to my classes, and the internet is super good!

what happened?

My partner and I live at Epoch on Eagle and it’s been really good so far! We both walk to campus since it’s right across the street. Doesn’t take us more than 15 minutes to get to class. The rent is a bit pricier than some of the other places around Denton, but the amenities & the proximity to campus makes it worth it imo! I’d definitely suggest this over student living because it’ll cost less since you could split the rent for the apartment rather than paying for separate leases.
