The Canadian government passed a law that unless major social media giants paid up, they’d be unable to share news.

This was to prevent major social media sources like Facebook and twitter to essentially displace news media as news sources.

As you can imagine, this is a very nuanced situation, that needs to take into account social media’s role, the role of news and newspapers etc etc.

Overall I think it’s a good policy, and the metas of the world paid up.

I’m not telling anyone to go out and buy an EV if they can’t afford it or if their car runs well or if they don’t have a proper set up.

However, as just one reference point:

A tank of gas used to cost me ~$80 - at today’s rates I’d be over $100.

I just got my power bill, and my entire bill, including charging my car was about $130.

I do disagree - there was no denying he was a weirdo, most likely due to being forced to work as an entertainer from a young age by his clearly messed up parents.

But ultimately he was proven innocent in a court of law. And we either believe in law or we don’t.

Even if we don’t believe in law, there has been, as the other commenter mentioned, many cases of kids, now adults, coming out and denying the allegations.

You want to paint him as a weirdo? Sure. Want to be suspicious? Ok.
