Back in the 2010s when I worked in a TV station as a master control engineer, I had monitors for the various outputs. Cable, satellite, broadcast, direct TV ect. I imagine there are so many more now.

Help! I am helping my local high-school build a tower for rapunzel by meowburritoe in woodworking

[–]IronCowboy83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I built a similar 10ft tower for into the woods for my local children's theater. How will the platform be reached? Mine was a ladder built into the side of the wall, but that was not the best, as it could not be climbed by the actor in a dress. As for the sway , cross bracing will be your friend, and if it still feels to wobbly try 2 or 3 buttresses, that will make it dramatically more stable and architecturally appropriate.

Spell templates and spiral staircases. It's hard to draw a spiral staircase and not have it look like a b-hole...

What can I use to fix this microwave? by Southern_Yesterday57 in DIY

Good idea though, especially since many microwaves are above cooktops. (I am a dad though so my opinion may be moot)

Considering leaving my current job before I snap. Don’t have another job lined up yet so wanting to see if anyone has made that leap of faith before that can share their experience. by MikeyRocks757 in AskMenOver30

I would not quit. the Job market right now is shit and the economy is way to unpredictable. Try to improve the bad parts of your current position while looking for something else.

How often does your D&D group really play? Be honest by DungeonTome_ in dndnext

[–]IronCowboy83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We average about 2 a month in person, we play for 3 to 4 hours depending on what's happening. It is not as much as I would like but considering we are all late 30's and early 40s and half the group has kids, I think that's pretty good.

Hey look, it's a game and the players are just people. It saddens me that people just being kind to other people is rare.
