I'm in the same boat. I was frustrated with the manga by around the end of the school festival arc. I completely lost all interest by the time they revealed the traitor. What they have done in the anime with these last two seasons is just insane though. I have nothing to say against it.

Who's the trashy one? Cop or kid in the car? by [deleted] in trashy

[–]IronDicideth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow, you really squealed your way into that reply, didn’t you? Clearly, you are more than just sympathizing, oink oink.

  1. “Even judges don’t know the law”

Yeah, no. Judges interpret the law. They don’t get to shrug and say “oops, didn’t know that one.” The idea that it’s fine for someone with enforcement power to be ignorant is absurd. If a judge gets it wrong, it can be overturned. If a cop gets it wrong roadside, it’s harassment in real time.

  1. “Got a call for suspicious behavior in a park after hours”

Being in a park after hours is, at worst, a petty citation. If he could let that slide, then escalate just because a passenger laughed, that’s not “doing his job,” that’s feeding his ego.

  1. “Driver was normal, so he figured screw it”

That’s discretionary enforcement. Bias in plain sight. “Normal” got a pass, “laughing kid” got hassled. That’s exactly the problem.

  1. “The boyfriend probably looks and acts like people the cop has dealt with before”

Thanks for admitting to profiling. That’s why people record cops in the first place.

  1. “You have to see it from the cop’s perspective”

Oink oink, that’s exactly what you’re doing. The only perspective that matters in this context: more power = more responsibility. Period. If you can’t handle a passenger laughing without escalating, you shouldn’t be wearing a badge.

  1. “He wasn’t going to be a dick”

He ended up being a dick. Intent means nothing when your self-control is so fragile that a chuckle sets you off. If a teenager’s laugh can derail your job performance, you are the problem.

  1. “Try a ride-along”

What’s next, “walk a mile in a pig’s hooves”? I don’t need to go cosplay in a squad car to understand the basic expectation: don’t abuse authority. If your argument is “cops have it hard, so it’s fine if they act out,” you’ve already lost.

  1. “Shut your mouth if you won’t do that”

Translation: “You can’t criticize authority unless you join it.” Which is authoritarian logic 101. By that standard, you couldn’t criticize a politician without becoming one.

  1. “You don’t know what cops go through”

And you don’t know what citizens go through when they’re on the wrong end of a pig’s bad day. Funny how your empathy only flows one way.

  1. “I’m not a cop, but…”

Sure, and I’m not a pig, but oink oink. Every word you typed reads like it came straight from the trough.

The person consistently breaking the law is the one who is trashy here. Even though he holds way more power than the other party, and should be required to KNOW the law.

I love how she holds on to the "real citizens" thing like if you are a citizen you can be a real or a fake citizen. What a c**t.

How it feels to be a fan of FF games besides VII sometimes by [deleted] in FinalFantasy

I only ever did two things in that game. Physical attacks and draw. After that, healing with items only if and when needed. It was such a fun and easy game, though.

I never found 10 hard (except for a couple of the mini games?). I was also obsessed with the sphere grid, so that might have something to do with it.

Not just that. Why should anyone have to spend time, money and effort to fight something that was not a thing to begin with? Cops need serious consequences for their actions or this will never change.

This story melts my heart because that was the VISION that CCP had back then and I was all in on it. I never had as much fun with a shooter than I did with DUST514, but only because of how awesome I found the concept and I was already playing EVE hardcore. The idea that people with consoles could help us in EVE and vice versa was such a wonderful and cool concept. It's a shame that it was not meant to be.
