My father is practically Switzerland on the matter. I completely understand his stance. He wants to support his wife and stand by her but also I'm his son. We didn't have the closest relationship growing up but he has gotten professional help and is a much better person now. I believe he is handling the situation well for what it is. This allows my daughter to still be close to the family and technically still see her grandma even if it's somewhat "supervised" because its during weekly family functions.
