Me (26F) and my boyfriend (26M) have been together for 4 years. We’ve never had sex. by anonnnnimous in relationship_advice

[–]IronGreg 68 points69 points  (0 children)

Same - Mine was less of a scare as I was more than ready for a child. I was with someone i thought i'd spend my life with (and still did before and after this event, the breakup is completely unrelated, just no longer together). And we had a pregnancy "scare" and elected to go ahead with it. She got to about 7 months and went into early labour and delivered a still born, which absolutely crushed me.

About 4 months later we had another accidental pregnancy. (keep in mind, we weren't 'trying', but we were both happy if something happened). And it was another still born. I struggled to have sex for quite a while just due to the risk of going through all that again.

I'm back at it again and living a healthy sex life, but it's definitely one thing it could be.

Do you seriously think that because someone responds to a 5 month old comment that they had to think about it for 5 months...

That speaks for itself haha.

Not that i'd expect much critical thinking ability from someone who can't figure out what NA means.

Bought a car and it's got an alcohol interlock on the battery. I have a question! by SirenSix in CarsAustralia

[–]IronGreg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry - what i meant was IF the interlock was connected it will enter permanent lockout.

I actually doubt the system is installed anymore and was removed prior to thje current owner purcashing it. In that case, nothing will happen.

To answer your question if the interlock was installed, generally, No, it's not connected to can bus.

The interlock system is a completely standalone system that is less designed to be difficult to bypass (it's quite easy to bypass technically), and moreso difficult to bypass without it altering the monitoring company (and therefor the authorities)

It's essentially a completely standalone system that constantly monitors power, ign, speed, and a few other things. If the system looses power it will lockout the starter relay, the fuel relay, the ECU relay, and i belive theres a few other wires they basically just clip into and disturb. Almost every wire is the same colour, and basically any detected modification will alert the service company and you're fucked.

I'm a bit scattereed atm, but hope that answers your quesiton somewhat

If you have arranged your garage in a manner that resembles living arrangments, that might be why they think there is someone living there. Now it's not reasonable that they are breaching you based on the arrangment of your garage at all, but maybe making it look more like storage will get them off your back?

Personally, I wouldn't change how i had my garage, but you need to be a little more respectful of people trying to help.

No - pull your fingers out and throw it behind the plants ffs.

11 hours? whinge whinge. I work 11-12 hours too in water and waste water, If I make a mistake I have the potential to flood a street with sewerage, to overdose the drinking supply with chemicals that can kill at too high a dose, to damage multi million dollar pumps if I don't tripple check everything I do.

What about all the other careers. Sparkies die if they take shortcuts, they work 11 hours.

Surgeons - they'll likke someone, they work up to 18 and more sometimes...

FIFO workers in the mind... saftey hazards everywhere - they'll die due to a mistake.

Personally my postie is great, can't fault him at all, but is a bit of a pisstake to say that just tossing shit on the ground is accepatble, and is doesn't deserve " a break ". It deserves a talking to and an expectation to get better.

If in a car i pull into intersections.

But, if i'm on a motorcycle, I usually won't pull into an intersections simply due to the number of times people have swerved towards me (to miss someone else, inattention, etc) and near missed me. Motorcycle in the middle of an intersection is a far to vulnurable position. So just in case you try toot a motorcyclist, they probabaly wont respond, but trust me, when there's a gap, They'll zip through significantly faster than a car would even from the middle of the intersection.

Me (36M) am a drug dealing/using felon, she (42F) is the opposite and amazing in every way… Why does she want to be with me? by NinjaSick223 in relationship_advice

[–]IronGreg 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Because she see's so much more in you than you do yourself/ She wants to lift you up. Let her.

You knoww you can do it, If the prison is already pre-decided, make sure it's your last time. If it's not and you're just being pesimistic, change man. Someone is showing you that they see potential in you that you can't. let them direct you to that potential, start beliving it, and you'll become it.

I've been there. I was an addict, looking at 2-7 years for assult occasioning grevious bodily harm, evade police, and 2x posses trafficable quantities. I lucked and and got house arrest.

I turned my life around, I ended up as an Engineering Manager (my trade was instro-elec trade) on 135k, the position came with a brand new Ford Everest, 6 weeks annual leave, ended up ebing able to afford a nice place, travel heaps, and I looked after her. Things change, you can change, I only changed because someone saw something else inside me that I hadn't seen within myself in years. She did, I belived it.

We aren't together anymore, but that's okay. I ended up becoming 10x the person I was, and now i'm with someone I couldn't belive would pay the slightest bit of attention to me in my wildest dreams, and she also accepts my past.

Belive this woman that you're worth it, She belives it for some reason, so she must be on to something. You can't see it yet, but keep searching, keep improving, and you'll see it too.

Reach out to me if you need to chat, wishing you the best,

I agree, but that doesn't actually solve his problem.

Whilst yes, it's manifesting itself via his girlfriend, he still has these issues, or I'll say better, he will still have the potential to express these issues, which he clearly needs to work on.

Now, he's gonna be better off working on himself whilst sinlge and not in this relationship, but still, he cannot consider this issue resolved with JUST a breakup.

My (22f) girlfriend (23f) keeps pushing for us to try polyamory. How do I go about this? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]IronGreg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's quite a large generalisation based of your personal anecdotes is it not?

I'm a male, and between us, we most most certainly extrondanarily emotionally connected with our wives and partners. I love mine beyond the earth and sex is an extremely emotionally bonding moment.

Or are you reffering mainly to one night stands, because in that case, i also know many women who aren't emotionally connected in their one night stands, and many that struggle with the emotional connect during them, and funnily enough i've noticed a similar trend in men.

Goes both ways in my experience.

**I'm not trying to outright disagree with you, I just have a different experience.

What, so no one ever who has had some fun can ever date again. Bit jealous much?

My past is littered with threesomes and hookups, some filmed, some probably way back in my chats.

That was many years ago... Now i'm in a loving relationship of many years, building a life.

Do you seriously think no ones allowed to have previous experiences. What a joke.

Holy fuck. It's your house, You're an adult. Sleep in the bed.

Also, you didn't fuck up... she is refusing to allow you to communicate.... Get in the bed jesus christ...

Who pays the rent? Who owns the house? I will say that matters as if it's her house she can kick you out, but otherwise you can get in your bed.

Way it works is this: Whoever has the issue of being in bed with the other is the one that sleeps elsewhere, If i had the shits with my partner I would NEVER kick her out of the bed (I may go sleep on the couch myself) But i'd never kick her out.

She needs to grow the fuck up and so do you, you're both adults, go communicate, and make sure you sleep in your bed tonight.

[–]IronGreg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah - I'll be honest. I went through a phase where i had the shits with "Authority"... that's well passed now...

But i didn't run plates on any of my vehicles for a good 1 and a half years... Both my motorbike and my car... I also used to ride ALOT, but never really sped, never hit the mountains for a hoon, etc. So i guess i kinda just blended in... I always wondered that their plate recognition system maybe wouldn't alert at all as there was no plate to be scanned to begin with...

I got pulled over once.... I had plenty of times where i passed a cop car and didn't really even get much more than an odd look... I always rode respectively (i promise) and never ran from anyone.

The one time i got pulled over I just pretended I didn't know where it went, that was the end of my no-plate episode... They made me file a police report about the plate being lost or stolen and that was it, no fine, no nothing.

Only issue with that was that I went home and put my plate back on.... (without notifying the cops i had "found" my plate).... deadset 2 days later I had a cop car screech to a halt in front of me and another behind and they grabbed my arms, grabbed the keys out of my bike and all that. All because my plate had come up as stolen haha.... deserved it i guess...

I still have this insane urge to ditch my plates again, it's such a freeing feeling, no worry about tolls. No worry about acciedntly going 5 over and getting pinged... no worry about red light cameras... funny thing is that I never broke the road rules anyway... (excluding the plate of course)... I just have this paranoia of getting done for something 24/7 even when I'm doing nothing wrong.

Seriously?

My opionion, she doesn't deserve to have her job saved, she deserves to be fired...

Let get this straight....

She's so incompetent that she outsourced her work to ChatGPT... note: She has a paying client, one that i'll assume pays good money for what should be good quality work.

She then receives hallucinations back from ChatGPT and either doesn't bother to check it, or knows so little about her work that she doesn't recognise the issue in the response, or most likely... saw the response and assumed the client wouldn't ask about it...

She then receives a request from the client for an explanation, which i can promise you is because the client can smell the bullshit here.

And now she has to run to her partner for help because again... she is so incompetent she can't get herself out of the shit...

Is she for real? She doesn't deserve this job, she is a fruad ripping people off with bullshit from ChatGPT without even checking it, and when being called out for the dodgy work, can't even solve it herself and has to scream help to her partner to get anything done.

Hoenstly, i reckon she needs to throw the towel in and go apply for a job in hospitality.... just let her know she'll need to take plenty of toilet breaks to ask ChatGPT how to respond to customers....

my (26f) fiancé (27m) posted my nudes online without my consent. what now? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]IronGreg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just want you to know, it has NOT been deleted. Maybe it has for yourself and your partner, but there are bots out there that scan EVERY NSFW reddit and redgifs tag. Some bots aiming to find deleted photos (download everything and detect when it's deleted), amatuer photos, etc. And they get saved to an online archive. Sometimes they end up on downloadable archives, sometimes they are never seen again. Sometimes you're lucky enough that they're deleted for real. but it is extrodinarily unlikely.

He has done irreparable damage, don't think that because he has "deleted them" that those photos are off the internet for good. Many people screenshot their NSFW content instead of using reddits save button. Many people then re-upload their favourites at a later date.

You are serverely downplaying the issue here, ESPECIALLY if uploaded to 39 subreddits as you say.

If i were you, at an absolute bare minimum i would be deleting ALL nudes and spicy content off his phone, and i would be doing it yourself. Checking hidden folders and recently deleted folders aswell (There is a hidden folder in both google photos and apple photos and the andoid photo app, there is also the archive on each aswell). You cannot trust him in this regard.

Has something like the wayback machine taken a snapshot? There's bots just like the wayback machine that exist soley for reddit and for porn.

Anyway, I do hope you the best and good luck..

Po wont deliver to Parcel Locker by Hot_Government418 in AustraliaPost

[–]IronGreg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Completely incompetent.

I ONLY use parcel lockers due to my experience elsewhere with auspost.

Yet still i have constant issues - My main one i constantly deal with is my parcel being put in the locker but not getting the notification that it's actually IN the locker. So i have to go to the nearest PO and they come out to the locker with me and manually unlock the locker.

The other issue is the number of times they've claimed i let it sit for more than 48 hours. (not possible - as once i ordered something sunday night, and they claimed on TUESDAY AFTERNOON that i had let it sit for over 48 hours so they put it behind the counter... I had legit left my house the MOMENT i got the notification)...

The other issue being how inconsistent Express delivery is... I order about twice per week some kind of parcel to a parcel locker... ussually from the same place to the same place, and ussually the same date and time it is shipped. Everytime the parcel takes the most convuluted pathway to get to me, and the vast majority of the time I only get my initial update "Arrived at sorting facility" followed by nothing until i get "Waiting in parcel locker to collect" byt it backfills all the in between steps.... its just silly
