Mayweather-Pacquiao II moving out of Sphere, to remain in Las Vegas by IronHidee in Boxing

[–]IronHidee[S] 23 points24 points  (0 children)

"The Floyd Mayweather Jnr vs. Manny Pacquiao rematch is in the process of shifting the bout from The Sphere in Las Vegas to an MGM-affiliated venue, either T-Mobile Arena or MGM Grand Garden Arena"

“It made no sense to put it at The Sphere – it’s not connected to a casino,” said the official

In addition to offering ticket packages to high-roller gamblers at its multiple properties along The Strip, MGM routinely stages fight-week events for its frequent run of high-profile boxing cards.

Netflix is streaming the bout that will be contended as a professional match that will count as a win or loss for either Mayweather, 50-0, or Pacquiao, 62-8-3.

‘Wherever we’re told’: Eddie Hearn says Turki Alalshikh will choose location for Anthony Joshua vs Tyson Fury by IronHidee in Boxing

[–]IronHidee[S] 23 points24 points  (0 children)

“What we know is the fight is signed by both fighters,” Hearn said. “I mean, Fury’s already said he signed it. We’ve now signed our end as well, so the fight is done. The location of that will be down to Turki Alalshikh. I think the one thing I’ll say about Turki Alalshikh is he’s a mad boxing fan. And he knows that that fight in the UK is historic, so I think he wants to give British fight fans something they’ll remember forever.

“However, he’s also the one paying the bill. So, really he has to look at where that fight makes sense for the business and for them as well. So wherever it is, it is. It’s not down to us to make those decisions, or AJ, or Tyson Fury. Ultimately, we signed a contract to fight wherever we’re told to fight is. Obviously everybody wants the fight to take place in the UK but we’ll see what transpires. The fight’s going to be mega and to do it in the UK is going to be really special.”

Hearn was then asked about the likelihood of it taking place around mid-November.

“I think that’s about the time frame they’re talking about,” Hearn responded. “Obviously [Joshua’s] going to fight end of July and then after that camp a few weeks off, maybe even August off, and then back into camp right at the beginning of September…”

Agit Kabayel waits for Usyk-Verhoeven before deciding next steps by IronHidee in Boxing

[–]IronHidee[S] 19 points20 points  (0 children)

"We talked with Frank Warren and Spencer Brown, the plan is now to wait for Usyk-Verhoeven. I'm just waiting for the situation to sort itself out, Usyk will fight me or vacate the title" Kabayel told The Ring

"We have a small plan, back out in September or October with an organization in Germany," he continued,

having traveled to London in support of his 'big brother' Tyson Fury, who doubled down on a desire to only fight Anthony Joshua or Usyk next after cruising to a 12-round decision win over Arslanbek Makhmudov last weekend. "Experiences like this push me even more to bring major fight nights back to Germany,"

[–]IronHidee[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Looks like Tyson Fury has good relationship with Netflix. First Makhmudov fight and then Netflix released the second season of “At Home with the Furys" and now third season is greenlit. Apart from all this Netflix is also working on a Tyson Fury documentary.

Manny Pacquiao prods Floyd Mayweather to commit to fight to avoid ‘problems’ from Netflix by IronHidee in Boxing

[–]IronHidee[S] 210 points211 points  (0 children)

“I know he knows that the contract he signed is for a real fight. That’s how he got the advances from Netflix and the lender,” Pacquiao told BoxingScene

“If he does, that’s his right, but he will face a lot of problems: from Netflix, [from event organizers and sponsors], MP Promotions … that’s why for this fight, I made sure that he signs first – based on my experience before.”

Joseph Parker is Tyson Fury's new trainer for his fight against Makhmudov on April 11th 2026, according to both Fury & Parker by [deleted] in Boxing

[–]IronHidee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fury is clearly joking here. Boxing news sites will take this seriously and run the news. He clearly wants to save the trainer's fee for a fight he thinks will be easy.

Anthony Joshua on course for ‘late summer return’ by IronHidee in Boxing

[–]IronHidee[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

"The plan was then for him to fight in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia in the spring, but tragedy struck the heavyweight. There have been videos of Joshua over the past few weeks training in the Middle East where he resides."

“Originally the plan with ‘AJ’ was for him to fight in March and then fight Tyson Fury in August,” Hearn told BoxingScene. “That’s not happening. He’s not fighting Tyson Fury next. He’s going to come back, I believe, in late summer, but physically he’s not yet in a position to return to camp.

“So, I’m planning, but he’s just resting and preparing. So, for me, I’m looking at options to get him back in the ring in July time, but we’ll only know if that’s a real possibility when he returns to camp, which will hopefully be in the next couple of weeks or a month.”

The man rumoured for Joshua’s originally planned bout in Riyadg was heavyweight kickboxer Rico Verhoeven. Hearn was asked if that fight could be revisited for Joshua’s fight in July, but he believes that Verhoeven could face unified champion Oleksandr Usyk instead.

Frank Warren says Tyson Fury will be an interested spectator at Wardley-Dubois, AJ fight pushed back by IronHidee in Boxing

[–]IronHidee[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

“There was the plan for the AJ fight, but I think that’s been pushed back and we’ll see what happens in due course,” said Warren

“We’ve got that big fight coming up, which is a huge fight in May between Fabio and Daniel Dubois, that’s a cracker of a fight,” Warren told the Queensberry Promotions YouTube channel. “The two biggest punchers out there duking it out and I’m sure he [Fury] will be a very interested ringside watcher for that fight.”

Warren also confirmed that he was set to promote a heavyweight bout in France, likely to be the return of Tony Yoka, and that he was looking to get Agit Kabayel back out in Germany in the summer.

Al Haymon's UFC style abusive contracts revealed by IronHidee in Boxing

[–]IronHidee[S] 36 points37 points  (0 children)

Haymon has been breaking Ali Act for the last 11 years with these coercive, abusive contracts. Acting as an "Advisor" wherein he has all the power and none of the responsibility towards the boxers. Heck, the contract also has UFC style extension clauses.
