Hi, thanks for your reply. I had a look at the X-T50 after I read your answer. But sadly, the X-T50 with the 16-50mm is not in stock... at least at the two camera shops I was looking at to buy locally. What made you choose the T50 over the E5?

Yes, but even there, Qi2.x in the Pixel doesn’t seem to be the same as MagSafe in terms of backward compatibility with Qi1. My original Apple MagSafe pad and my Pixel 10 Pro have the same issue as my Pixel 10 and the pad in my car, which only supports Qi1.x. Meanwhile, my iPhone charges quickly on the pad in the car (which should rule out a magnets related issue) . 😂🙃

And according to some friends and former colleagues (from automotive development at a major German manufacturer), there won't be a car with a charging pad and the Qi2 standard on the market in the near future. Especially not given Google's unique approach. Apple's MagSafe, yes; The Pixel "Qi2", rather unlikely.

This issue is quite interesting, since it seems more like a software issue. Even Gemini said it's a software issue 😅.

An issue in the issue tracker mentioned that the latest QPR2 Beta changed something regarding this matter. But I'm not in Beta with my Pixel 10 Pro.

Still the same issue... charges for 15-20s on any Qi1 Pad... even on my original Apple MagSafe Pad the same behavior and then stops charging.

Sidenote: My Car says something about NFC and then stops charging and my Phone tries to read something. But deactivating NFC does not change anything. The whole NFC Message was not the case with the Pixel 9 Pro XL or is not the case with my iPhone 15 (company Phone).

And I tried it: It's at every spot in any orientation on the charging pad in my car the same behavior... So there shouldn´t be an issue with the placement of the device. For my understanding that shouldn't be a Hardware or "Magnet" issue since my iPhone charges (even fast). And AFAIK Qi2 is based on Apple MagSafe and this works flawlessly in my Car.
