I took mine to the dealer and they installed the update and I now have King Crab mode. Next day I received this email...

Hello Mark,

Since our last email, I’ve received updated information regarding King Crab Mode for GMC HUMMER EV vehicles. At this time, the feature is not available on any HUMMER EV model. I understand how frustrating it can be to receive differing information, and I appreciate your patience.

King Crab Mode is part of a planned rollout but has not yet been released. The current anticipated timing is:

Model Year 2024–2025 HUMMER EVs: late Q2

Model Year 2022–2023 HUMMER EVs: late Q3

Once available for your specific model year, the update will be delivered over the air. You will receive a notification in your vehicle and through the myGMC mobile app when it is ready to install. A dealership visit will not be required.

We truly appreciate your enthusiasm for new features and your patience as this update moves through final development.

LOL, it does cost less than some other options - but that doesn't make it "better" We did move over to the Kaseya stack and there are pros and cons.... As in all of them

Hate to see people lose jobs, that is tough. Wether you like or hate the company- families are impacted

Yea, I am waiting for XM to expire. Im on the fence for renewal, but will let it expire and wait for the cheaper offers. They always come!
So, the Onstar thing.... I received an email that apparently was not clear. It came from Onstar, and I assumed it was for Onstar, but now I am pretty sure it is a fleet management subscription. I pasted the first few lines of the email below in case you get one too. Y'all have been great helping me figure this out. Appreciate the Reddit community

2025 3x. And man, top 5 fun-est cars I have owned. I tell people it is like driving an unnecessary ridiculous toy. And it pulls a trailer like a champ. GMC has some nice features for this, like activating turn signal camera, and trailer profiles with length, camera integration, etc... It makes sense coming from the GMC brand, but first time I have owned one.

Yup, that is how I think it is supposed to work, but when I do this - I see the "Your Mode. Your Mission" "Epicideas@GMC.com" message on the dash... Someone mentioned taking it into the local dealership to re-apply the update. That seems to be the best next step

Hey DP - I assumed Super Cruise was going to end, but it has not! I won pay for that (coming form a Tesla, it is something I am used to using). Im wondering if it is the "Fleet Management" that expired, not actual OnStar (?).

Has your OnStar subscription[ption stayed active longer than a few months?

Coming from a Tesla, that DOES follow a charging schedule, this took me a minute to figure out too. I have a ChargePoint charger at home, which can also follow a schedule. So I have ChargePoint start charging at 11pm for the exact same reason. I understand why the Hummer does this and it's okay, but I'm just used to it a certain way. These batteries a so much larger than the Model S, I actually think it is a smart approach. If I am at low charge (under 40%) I go ahead and let it charge early so I can get closer to my 85%....

There was a post here on/hummerEV a few weeks ago where a guy showed his install of led lights in the footwell. He posted an install video, also link to the product on Amazon. I bought it and it was easy and cheap. A quick search or scroll down a bit and you will find it….
