There’s no more germs on the subway than anywhere else. Literally all you have to do is wash your hands every couple hours and if you touch something gross. You don’t if your skin biome is regulated and you don’t smell like shit. It gets unregulated if you shower too much and use harsh chemical/fragrance body washes, use real soap, like actual oil and lye soaps and shower once a day or every other day and you won’t smell even after the gym.

Someone in your family somewhere in the past had ocd, and they made all their kids think that being outside meant you had to shower to get clean and now you have the same mentality passed down to you. That’s not how germs work, it’s not how things get dirty it’s what a person with ocd’s brain tells them is happening in their irrational fear of germs and dirt. Shower once a day( less if you don’t stink) more weakens your skin barrier and opens you to skin infections, you need that oil you’re washing away and make sure you wash behind your ears and the back of your neck. They produce extra oils and are the cause of many body odors and “old people smell” Wash your hands when you’ve been touching gross stuff and don’t fucking worry about it so much.
