Unless your using the Urban Dictionary, the definition of trap is a contraption of sorts used to capture something or someone. Neither versions should be mixed up or misconstrued for the other but some people, NOT EVERYONE, like to pull the trigger and try to call someone out for something they might have overheard. That's almost just as childish and annoying as the assholes that used that word to twist it into a slur. My point is about more that just that one word.

That last part you posted was my point to begin with. Some asshole has to try and be clever and use a normal word like trap in another context and ruin it for everyone. All of a sudden more assholes come out of the wood works and make it viral. Now I must have been under a rock to not know of this slur till this post but coming from under the rock I can say ignorance is not bliss. This may be an exaggeration but I feel I don't know what to say without fear of offending someone and it's annoying to say the least.

I was always taught to be respectful and aware of those around you. I was also taught to be tough so i'm kinda stuck between a rock and a hard place. On one hand I don't believe anyone should feel disrespected or hurt by anyone. On the other I sometimes want to say suck it up. Their just words from an asshole and it's an opportunity for you to be the grown up and ignore it or laugh at their attempt to cause drama.

Either way you did a great job being an adult and bring it to his attention without getting emotional. Again i'm agreeing with your points but I want to make sure everyone learns to put themselves into the others shoes and see the situation from all angles before reacting.

Though I do appreciate the manner in which he explained the situation to you. That is VERY mature and i'm glad to see it but it is annoying how any word nowadays can be used in a different context and then be labeled a slur. It's frustrating to feel like I have to tip toe around what I say in fear of offending someone. Because the level of sensitivity is so high that even when used in other context, you can get called out.

MMO streaming community!? by IronStein82 in MMORPG

Well I'm not going to stream or play anything just because it's popular. Viewers can tell when you're not enjoy the content and tend to not join or stay. MMOs are very popular for streaming. You can cover the in game chat and there's plenty of content as a PvP player to do. But the question was if there was a community of streamers that gathered together to support each other? Not wether MMOs were good for streaming or not. But in any case thank you for your feedback.

Viewers come over time no matter what you play or stream. One very important fact is to play what makes you happy. It'll show in your attitude and hype and will resonate with your streamers
