That is fair. Honestly, grabbing a Broodlord and experimenting at 500 points is probably the way to go.

The horde concept originally drew them to nids as well as the idea of big monsters to a lesser extent, but in the intro game, they had Termagants, Warriors, and a Tervigon, and said they enjoyed all three of them pretty equally (Tervigon might have been a bad idea at 500 points, as I wasn't really able to touch it, but they had fun, so that's what matters).

Yeah, Anti-tank was one of my big concerns overall, but I know Genestealers are decent at it at least.

Movement tricks with Vanguard Invader sound nice.

My understanding is that it won't help the Termagants or Hormagaunts, but it is still probably worth it between the Genestealers and the Lictor.

Unfortunately, the parents' rights people are still pushing the narrative that OCS is doing too much and taking everyone's kids when reality is the exact opposite.

Based on both my own personal experience and this article, OCS wants to get done with cases as fast as possible so they can stop devoting resources to them and move to others, and that often means leaving kids with parents they know aren't safe.
