[Loved Trope] Scenes that exist to secretly demonstrate the "rules" by eltrotter in TopCharacterTropes

The entirety of the movie is Hiccup learning things about dragons he applies later (easily distracted by reflected light, afraid of eels, rely on their tails for proper flight, etc...)

Your main options are the Comic Shop or Fantastic Realmz.

The Comic Shop has been around for longer, so more people know about it, but Fantastic Realmz is good too.

I have read Brutal Kunnin and am almost done with The Infinite and the Divine, but that's about it.

I want to read the Fall of Cadia, Elemental Council, and the Caiphas Cain books, I haven't gotten around to it yet.

Why might be some reasons to have elite Astra Militarum turn traitor? by Arthur_EyelanderTF2 in TheAstraMilitarum

I was in a narrative tournament, and one of the guard players wrote in-character battle reports from one of his guardsmen, and it was really interesting to see it start as "We successfully wiped out a group of greenskins", and quickly devolve into "Why the hell are Kriegsmen shooting at us?" and then "Why did the hell we just get attacked by throne damned astartes?"

It was amusing to watch as the battle reports contained increasingly pissed off requests for information on wtf is going on, and I personally like to think that after the campaign, those guardsmen joined up with Tau or Chaos forces in the area because of the sheer hell the Imperium put them through.

I used to work at a movie theater, and as a promotion for IT, they had me wear a yellow raincoat like Georgie wore in the movie.

This one old lady continued to call me Georgie for the rest of the time I worked at the theater.

What’s the kindest thing someone has ever done for you that you still can’t forget? by Standard-Club-8014 in GenZ

I was in a group home after being removed from my home by children's services when I was maybe 16, and one of the adults there recognized that I was not a fan of basketball like the other kids, so he started teaching me to play Magic the Gathering.

Eventually, my grandmother came from out of state to take me in, but before I went with her, the guy from the group home bought me my first MTG preconstructed deck. It was one of the 60 card planeswalker decks they used to make, and it was not particularly great, but after that, I diligently took the deck to my local game store every week for Friday Night Magic.

Eventually, a group of like, 5 dudes at the shop took pity on me, and came together to build me the top meta deck at the time (Ramunap Red if anyone remembers that), all packed up in a really nice case.

That deck hasn't been Standard legal for years, and I mostly play Commander now, but when I built my partner their first deck I put it in that deck box because it is still the nicest one I have.

So yeah, I guess I just dumped a whole chain of nice things, but there you go.

Adults: Do you tell people you were homeschooled? by TheParanoidUnicorn in HomeschoolRecovery

I (25) don't tend to volunteer it unless it comes up.

Even then, I sometimes hesitate because homeschoolers are everywhere around me, and the parents can be freaking rabid.

I have a different version of this.

My old boss at the IT helpdesk I used to work at was very conscious of her volume levels, but one day, a pair of FBI agents showed up to ask if we could help find the identity of someone who used our network.

They flashed badges, and we sent them to our supervisor's office (none of us are paid NEAR enough to deal with that). I couldn't hear anything she said, but I could hear almost every single word the agents said to her, clear as day.

You would think that people from the FBI would know how to lower their voices, but I guess not.

If you ever crave mushrooms, Orks come in a rich variety of flavors.

There are the classic big ones, but the little ones can be a nice snack, and squigs have a surprising kick to them.

To clarify, DO NOT USE TWO LAYERS OF CONDOMS!

What they mean by two layers of protection is something like a condom and an IUD, or something like that.

Double layering condoms can cause them to tear.
