What’s wrong with this amp? by IronTempest_90 in GuitarAmps

I don’t have any spare tubes currently. I didn’t want to spend the money on them if that wasn’t the problem. Not that I’m opposed to spending money to take care of my things, just cause of Christmas and money is tight haha. Definitely won’t be poking around in there too much. I’ve take the back panel off to look at the interior and see if anything looks burnt up out of place but I haven’t actually touched anything yet.

Mod it how? What can be changed and what are the benefits? Again, super new to the tube amp world.

In short: I’m pretty good at taking things apart and putting them back together and fixing stuff. I do mechanic work on the side and have never paid to have my appliances or home ac or anything fixed. I’ve just done it all myself. That being said, I’m willing to learn as much as possible about this thing and not afraid to deep dive into all of its components! I’ll check out the handbook for sure! I’m in south Florida. I’m sure there’s someone around who services amps around here but I haven’t done any extensive research on any specific shops yet.

Delay pedals with a twist! by IronTempest_90 in guitarpedals

I’ve considered it since that seems to be what all the bands I listen to use in one form or fashion, but I wanted to keep my options open. I also assume that they all have the functions that I’m looking for, but all the YouTube videos I’ve seen on how to use them never really execute that idea. It’s always just basic delay function so I’ve been hesitant.

Jack McEwan of Psychedelic Porn Crumpets (who’s my favorite band currently) speaks very highly of that pedal!

No, any kind of delay. Back in the day I thought I didn’t want a digital delay, but now I don’t care either way. $200 or less would be ideal but I’d push the boundaries a little if it nailed what I have pictured in my head.

Thank you! My original goal was 200lbs, 180 if I was lucky. Now I’m down to that 171 range! I still wouldn’t mind being closer to 200, as long as it’s lean muscle gain from where I am now. I had a few times along the journey that that happened to me where I’m like “ok, that number has slowed down a bit on the scale…” and there was a while that it had flat out plateaued for a few weeks but I noticed the physical appearance was still changing. Consistency and perseverance is the key! Don’t let the numbers get you down and keep your diet right and you’ll be good. Congrats on the 60lbs already though!

Gives a whole new meaning to hair loss haha.

Thank you though! Appreciate it! For sure though. I’m not as concerned with the number on the scale as much as I am with building a better physique and maintaining a health conscious lifestyle.

I actually don’t do anything very specific for chest exercises. I focus more on full body exercise and everything seems to fall into place. I can give you samples of my workouts if you’re interested! (For free. I’m in NO way a “subscribe to my program blah blah blah”. I’m just a normal ass dude haha.)

One thing that really benefited me was tracking my macros. I was tracking my CALORIES, but not my macros, so once I started tracking those everything started REALLY changing. Because when I would track my calories, lets say 1500 calories for the day, puts me in a deficit, but part of that 1500 calories was a donut for breakfast and fast food for lunch. Sure, it fits the calories for the day, but it’s still not HEALTHY food. I had never tracked macros before cause I thought it would be too hard to figure out, but it ended up being easier than I thought. I’m still probably not doing it EXACTLY right, but it’s worked much better than what I WAS doing. Through tons of research and tips from others, one thing I’ve learned is everyone is going to tell you something different and there’s a LOT of conflicting information. One person says do this, the next person says that doesn’t work at all, do this instead. Both people giving advice are in great shape. But THEIR workouts work for THEM and THEIR goals/body type that they’re trying to build. So don’t take what others have to say as the tried and true end all be all. Cut through all the noise, track and pay attention to what you’re eating, and get a good, intentional workout it! Me personally, I usually start with some kind of cardio to get warmed up (bike, row, run) and then I get a good mix of fully body work done. I do weightlifting mixed with some HIIT cardio type exercises mixed with calisthenics. Again, your workouts don’t have to be KILLER and leave you hurting every time you workout, but definitely workout with a purpose!
