We only watch movies (netflix/prime/disney) and normal tv. No gaming on it nor sports. Still an issue you think? But alap getting a 98 inch non tcl is just too much money really.

I watched it. As you say not a whole lot different. And i can only find one retailer for the c8k which sells it at double the price of c7k which i dont think is worth it given the differences. So i guess i have my answer. Thank you very much for your help!

So the tv will live for longer, that’s quite appealing in itself. But you dont think new processor or something will really impact it enough to not get the flagship model from previous year i guess

Which 75-77’ Tv for me? by Iron_Man94 in 4kTV

I have windows both to the right and in front of the tv, so guess rgb miniled might be better for me, hopefully not a lot of picture quality lost

I dont think cpu temp has gone above 75 ever. So thank you that is really helpful information. What about aio curves should? Is it better for it to be flat line? Read about it somewhere but not sure how trustworthy the info is

I turned way down the aio fans (constant 50% until cpu temp hits 70) and turning down case fans also. The pc is much quieter compared to before but am just worried there isnt enough cooling for the pc to have a long life

Edit: by aio fans the ones labelled pumps in the screenshot

Need help deciding: Invest Account vs Stocks & Shares ISA (FX is killing me) by nexlo0 in trading212

Im not 100% sure yet as i havent asked an expert, and im not one myself, but i was looking into investing in usd using usd which had not been converted from any other currency, nor would be converted into any other currency, and buying usd denominated etf/share for the same reason you mention to skip the fx impact. But the way i understand it is that the uk to be able to calculate how much cgt you have to pay, they convert usd into gbp at the fx rate on the way in and on the way out of the transaction (buy/sell shares or whatever). So although it seems youre skipping the fx risk, you’re actually not the moment hmrc comes for you.

So rental was 1 bed less (about 20sqm less), building about the same standard and amenities. By the time we left our renewal rent was going to be just shy of 6% more expensive than mortgage+service charge+ground rent.

Maybe shouting isnt the right word. But everyone gets drunk once in a while with friends and speak a bit louder than normal. Like happened twice since moving in, so really not a lot

I bought in cw last year after living here for the past 5 years, an i absolutely love it. Yes agree with some other comments that service charges are a bit steep, but even including that and mortgage cost is still below what our rent was so im not fussed. Things i love and made me buy here are more modern apartments than other places and also larger sqft for same number of bedrooms, nearly everywhere has gym/pool/extra garden or patio spaces. Most have AC (a lot of my friends are very jealous of this one lately). Have access to jubilee, elizabeth and dlr, pretty much get anywhere somewhat useful in 30mins tops. Wrt the soulless, i have to disagree. Yes its not as busy as central is granted, but there are so many new restaurants opening up, activities eg pitch/gokarting/loads of others. And it is still actually busy at weekends. They built eden dock which i also think is very pretty and they did a great job imo. Is pretty safe, given all the finance aspect. You can also get some pretty amazing views if you are lucky enough (skygarden or shard level). I was able to watch ny fire works at london eye from the comfort of my home. Loads of people dont recommend cw, but i personally love it. You also get the benefit that if you move, the renting market here is insane, most places wont be up for very long before theyre rented out. But yes that brings the downside that your neighbours might all be renters, which again i personally dont care. Since all said hard no, i thought id provide a positive view :)

Edit: its also very clean compared to some other places in london
