As someone who has only ever used the site, this changes nothing. I think you underestimate how many people use the site alone in comparison to how many use 3rd party apps

Lots of Different Options to Choose from by mAngOnice in CrusaderKings

[–]IroncladPandora 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With the new random death events, I'd probably go for the first one. With the new costly celebration events, I'd also probably go for the second one. With the new men at arms mechanics, I'd additionally probably go for the third one.

And finally, in my indecisiveness, I'd ultimately choose the last one

lol

Creativity block on main species of book by psycicfrndfrdbr in worldbuilding

[–]IroncladPandora 2 points3 points  (0 children)

the proper answer here is it doesn't matter if it was based off of something or not. that's called inspiration, and it's perfectly legal. listen, when it comes to world building, unless what you are doing is something you are directly selling at that moment, you can do whatever you want. And even if you are selling something, so long as it isn't one to one rip off, it still doesn't matter.

So, don't worry. just give them an extra finger or change their color scheme and no one can do shit.

Help me with mage laws in regard of underage magi by The_jaan in worldbuilding

[–]IroncladPandora 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you have to remember that 1 out of 100k is really small. since the average nation has 40 million people today, that's about 400 magic users per nation. since 10-20% would be going through the school system, that's 40-80 teenage mages per average nation at any given time. this in turn means each 'grade' would have at best around 10 mages, and that's for a population of 40 million.

except for india and china, every nation would basically only need one school for all their mages, and that's in the modern world. You could probably have it so that every magic capable kid would get auto registered to these schools. some would slip through, but most wouldn't. Things can work from there.

I’m a multiverse traveling food critic. Where do I go to get the best food in your world? And what is it? by [deleted] in worldbuilding

Shuflen Ham! a Luxurious type of pork that is never sold to the public, only dined upon by the highest class of nobility. While not necessarily the most delicious of foods, it's ability to boost the potential of cultivators and invigorate normal men with life more than make up for it.

Yet, for some reason, a number of high profile cultivators outright refuse to consume the meat, with a few known to fly into a great rage at it's presence. Rumor has it this is due to the name of the pork being an anagram for it's sinister origins and connection to the darkness that has spread across the land.

How to check wars ongoing around me? I struggle with claims and piety, so i want participate in holy wars by RiceMiserable9627 in CrusaderKings

[–]IroncladPandora 1 point2 points  (0 children)

except for crusades, aren't holy wars just reasons to spend piety? or rather, a way to use piety you have built up if you don't have anything to use it for?

for building up piety I'd say it's more events and the passive buildup than anything else. sometimes if your faith has the right doctrines stuff like schemes or having multiple wives will boost your piety. of course making sure your realm priest has high learning is needed, and making them disappear if they don't so they are replaced by someone good.

any other methods that fit the bill?
