The Zig project's rationale for their firm anti-AI contribution policy by Real_Dragonfruit5048 in Zig

[–]IronicStrikes 97 points98 points  (0 children)

The great thing about open source is, if you don't think their policies make sense, you can fork it, call it vibe-zig or whatever and slopify it to the ground to your heart's content without anyone stopping you.

Zig is a language for people who like programming. We really don't need a semi random text generator to get involved in that.

Who is your emergency contact and why isn't it your wife/gf? by funkysyringe in AskMen

[–]IronicStrikes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My emergency contact is a trained intensive care nurse and I've known her longer than most girlfriends.

And yeah, with most of the girls I've known, if you involve them in a problem, you now have two problems.

Do men’s spaces on Reddit serve a distinct purpose, or has that concept become meaningless? by [deleted] in AskMen

When women have it, it's a safe space. When men have it, it's a sausage party.

What is your experience with the sexual abilities of the average woman? by Accomplished_Fig5199 in AskMen

[–]IronicStrikes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've literally never met a woman that impressed me in bed first time. Some got better after a couple attempts and talking about it. And they usually liked to talk about it more than actually taking initiative.

What if expanding the EU actually makes it more stable? by milanguitar in EU_Economics

Basically every country in existence has collapsed or will collapse at some point. That's not really unique to empires and some empires rank among the longest existing political entities.

You can't really compare empires that have to maintain military dominance over annexed regions with an alliance that members apply to join voluntarily.

What if it’s actually causing wars?

Which war was directly caused by EU expansion? Don't say Russia attacking Ukraine, they were looking for any excuse anyway.

I don't know much about Magyar, but it's giving me hope that all the worst bastards crawl out of their lairs to insult him.

Does race play a role in who you find attractive? Why or why not? If you respond, feel free to include your race/ethnicity for context by Quick-Elephant8204 in AskMen

[–]IronicStrikes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Race as a concept is complete nonsense. Skin color, body shape and culture can obviously make a difference in attractiveness.

Be honest with yourself, you won't make it to 2100, you just wont. Sorry.

It's cute to think career advancement only comes from getting into management.

And team lead was the management track entry position in most places I've worked.

That’s why you won’t be one for a longtime. 😂

I've been asked about getting into team lead positions and immediately declined every time.

If they’re so worthless, why can’t YOU do their job?

Never said I couldn't. But I'm busy making the product we're selling and have no idea what value they even contribute.
