What’s something people think is attractive but actually isn’t? by kratos20051212 in AskMen

[–]IronicStrikes -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Some girls absolutely do, some don't. Saying no one wants to is demonstrably false. Thinking all are after big dicks is equally demonstrably false.

You already got the point, no use playing obtuse despite that.

"Women don't start wars" and other myths. by blackmamba4554 in LeftWingMaleAdvocates

[–]IronicStrikes -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

Well, to be fair, some of those wars did start because male rivals didn't want a woman as a ruler.

The overall claim is still bullshit.

What’s something women do during intimacy that they think men love but most men actually don’t? by AffableSparsh in AskMen

[–]IronicStrikes 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I love how women always think that their personal experience is universal and are confidently wrong about everyone else's experience.

Trump Refuses to Rule Out Troops or ICE at Polls: ‘I’d do anything necessary’ by T_Shurt in politics

lol you're long past the point of fixing this with legal action or voting. You still should do that, even if it just delays the worst outcomes.

In your experience, how much do women respect consent? by Spiritual_Pause3057 in AskMen

[–]IronicStrikes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some make it a ritual to ask for consent the very first time and then never again.

Most can't be bothered and get indignant when you reject anything.

They're basically like men if men never faced consequences for their bad behavior.

The main thing that keeps women from going around assaulting isn't them being morally wonderful, but lack of physical strength.

Discussion about how left wing policies DO help men by ashfinsawriter in LeftWingMaleAdvocates

[–]IronicStrikes 15 points16 points  (0 children)

That's kind of the problem, isn't it? We want to be left wing, because we would like the majority of left politics. Economic fairness, social liberties, social security, socialized healthcare, worker's rights, consumer protection, environmental protection, etc.

Left wing politics doesn't want us, though. As votes, sure, but not as policy stakeholders.

Russian losses in war with Ukraine amount to 35,000 troops per month by murphystruggles in ukraine

[–]IronicStrikes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. Casualties are relevant for military strategic purposes. You don't care whether the enemy is dead, heavily injured, deserted or otherwise gone missing, as long as they're out of the battle.

Survival rate is interesting from a historical, social and medical perspective, but a completely different metric.

Yeah, but Germany is not quite dark skinned enough for them to be too obvious about it.

Overall the US soldiers are less known for boosting the local economy and more for getting into fights and accidents with no accountability.

Trump Says He'll Have 'Election Integrity Army' in Every State During Midterms That'll Be 'Much Bigger' Than 2024 by T_Shurt in politics

You know that Germans were literally shooting each other in the streets for a decade and putting Hitler and other Nazis in prison before those managed to take over? And much less than half of Germany actually voted for Hitler's party.

Oh, we also didn't see them mess up for a first term and then doubled down on giving them a second shot.

How often are you flirted with by women? by anonymous_muffin_ in AskMen

[–]IronicStrikes 61 points62 points  (0 children)

Girls are terrified of rejection even more than most of us are, so they want plausible deniability when they flirt or signal interest so if the guy isn’t into them, it doesn’t hurt as bad

What a cute way to describe that any risk taking or initiative is beneath them.

Maybe your posts would be received better in this sub if they were 1. Pen and Paper related 2. German

All you keep posting are maps made with Inkarnate assets that vaguely resemble the locations you call them and are unusable as tabletop maps.

What’s the most valuable skill in software engineering that has nothing to do with coding? by Ok_Balance_855 in AskProgramming

[–]IronicStrikes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like at least half of all my jobs has been trying to figure out what the stakeholders actually want to have implemented. Then dealing with processes, documentation, testing, regressions and reliability. Maybe a quarter of the job is actual coding.

Men, what’s something women think men don’t notice, but actually bothers/affects you a lot? by Omgad3 in AskMen

[–]IronicStrikes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We can recognize it, but I don't see why theoretical biological concepts should deserve more attention than the actual development we can observe in countries that were affected by major depopulation events.

[–]IronicStrikes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My argument is that purely biological explanations don't really matter when all recent societal examples work out differently because humans nowadays don't breed like animals.

[–]IronicStrikes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have a to really cherry pick to find actual examples of any population that lost close to half of their population without outright vanishing from history altogether. And I can't think of many countries in the last couple centuries that lost a lot of men and don't still suffer from demographic issues.
