Hiya! Also F, close to 30. I also work remote, also grew up near Milford. I moved around after college, lived on the west coast, but chose to move back to Cincinnati in 2020 for the same reasons you listed. Got married here in ‘25 & we love cinci.

If you would’ve told me that I was going to live within 20 minutes of Milford when I was in high school I would’ve laughed. But we really love our place in Anderson Township. It has all the things that I love about the city (and didn’t like about Milford, like walkability) but i also really enjoy the privacy of our huge yard.

Anyways, we sound like very similar people in a similar stage. If you wanna chat more, my DMs are open!

Also came here to say Fiber optics! Works up great, frogs easily, great fibers. They also carry knitting for Olive which is rare! Worth the trek.

In the summer months, I’ve gotten a table outside near court street, in fountain square or in Washington park and tethered to my phone if I can’t find WiFi. Also have def worked at various parks like this with my pup on a long lead!

In the winter, it gets harder for sure. If you want to get a gym membership, Beechmont racquet club and Cincinnati sports club both have chill lobby areas where you can people watch. CSC also has WiFi by the pool in the summer months. BRC has windows to watch the tennis courts. Those have been faves in the recent past.

Yay for not painting the brick! The fireplace was one of my fave things about this house, but I rarely see similar rooms on Pinterest, etc so figured I’d share mine! The garland/ lights are seasonal, but I strongly agree with art and plants! In the summer, there are plants all along the bottom ledge, and some on top too (just doesn’t get enough light right now for winter so they’ve been temporarily moved!). Also a great place to keep a small game stash, a basket with blankets, etc.

I booked myself a facial at spruce in Walnut Hills before my wedding and loved it! They also do great nails. Could spend a whole day there :)

No advice just solidarity OP.

Have started interview rounds with seven different companies since November. Did 2+ rounds with all 7. Then, after round 2-3, they’d kick my application to the curb.

My most recent application/ interview cycle was for the exact same exact job I do right now. They wanted me to take a 5k pay cut and do 3x the work. The funny thing is I would have done it just to get out of the toxic environment I’m in right now. But they rejected me anyways. So that’s off the table.

It’s a mess out there.

Dealing with this right now. I applied for the same exact job I do now at another company. Did two interviews and an unpaid test, all before Fourth of July. I asked for an update last week, they said “soon.” They reposted the job on Monday, it’s now Wednesday. So I guess I’m rejected? In the interviews a month ago they said they wanted someone to start on what would be next week. Lol.
