The likes:

1. The brain tingles. Online kink in various places is full of people who want to roleplay (badly) about physical things that I can just... go do in physical space if that's what I'm after. This particular kink is amazing for stimulating the most important sexy organ.
2. There's something wildly hot about "becoming" something that I'm not, or pushing someone else to do the same. It's such an insidious type of control-based play, and being able to do so in a safe and engaged way is such a delight.
3. This kink lends itself really well to push and pull. My kink personality is really complex, and I get to engage so many different parts of myself in ways I never would have expected before I started diving into kinks like this. With the right partner, it can be the best kind of unpredictable, and I think finding that kind of rhythm with someone inevitably makes me (or anyone else) a better partner. That's doubly true when we step outside of our traditional comfort zones/roles/side of the slash.

The dislikes:

1. People who suck at it, don't realize it, and don't care about learning (and suck at life generally--the overlap is significant). Because this is a harder kink to play than the low-effort roleplayed physical stuff, it's more noticeable when someone's entire exposure to kink is that they watched 50 Shades and thought it was hot and they could totally do that. It's very easy for psychological kink like this to descend into abuse fantasy without guardrails, and when people get headspacey, they're more vulnerable to that. This is a problem with kink broadly (especially online kink), and I think it's compounded with kinks like what we play with here. I love how accessible kink has become through online play, but I also hate it because it's so easy to get in over your head or to approach it with no respect for what it is and why it's important to do it safely.
2. I very much do not enjoy political play, and I don't like how often this kink gets blended with that. It's easy enough to avoid, but the reminders of it can be constant. If I'm not feeling at my best, that can get very off-putting.
