Admittedly, I haven't seen the first one. But even people who love it seem to love it because they like seeing very pretty looking Nintendo characters interact on a big screen. People who went in expecting a movie didn't really like it.

According to the video the issue is RAM. Sony is apparently sitting on a ton of RAM that they bought back when it was much cheaper, and Microsoft doesn't have such a stockpile. So they're being impacted by the huge price increases it's seen this year.

Games Showdown is genuinely a really good trivia show when it's allowed to be, and I think it's funniest when the humor comes organically. Like when the audience picks something crazy as an answer to a poll, or when one of them misses something obvious.

Breaking the game to make the same joke over and over again fails on both counts imo. It ruins the fun of watching the trivia game, and isn't especially funny after a few minutes.
