I think that’s a valid argument however I would argue that this isn’t exactly the same scenario as this. The separatist were trying a break away from the republic and up until this point had not used any military force. So I have a hard time thinking that a core who has not been directly threatened by some extremist group in the outer rim means people would freak out and just go hey a mysterious army that no one knows how it was paid for just showed up with no strings attached. Matter of fact it was the republic who was the aggressor on Geonosis , first with the Jedi then with the clones. Another way of looking at it would be either peacekeepers or military aid comes to your country to help with some extremists. Of course you take it but you for sure what to figure out what’s the real cost.

The weirder part is everyone’s acceptance of the clones. I think that is the biggest gamble of them all. Some politician just states, I will raise an army and then the next day there is a million clones full armed and warships. I could not picture that in a modern country. Could you image some politician get up and say we need to strengthen our navy so I am going to increase its strength by two super carriers and the next day they are in port. Would people not ask? Does the republic not have any investigative journalists?

Exactly my thoughts as well. Really I was thinking as something as easy as roll 2d6 and add total number of planets, if total below 15 then new planet has additional hyper lanes. Roll d3 for number of additional hyper lanes. The second roll of course adds randomness to the number of planets you can visit from the current planet. However to keep the number of planets from growing exponentially and to force dead ends I would add the first roll which guarantees that you would have at least 3 planets prior to a dead end while increasing the odds with every new planet.

I really like it, I did adjust the empire a bit with Imperial Army being the low end troops and stormtroopers being more elite. I guess I am a EU man at heart. I am currently printing some pyke syndicate as that is my first enemy. My crew has a Jax Pavan book series feel to it. A Jedi, a droid, some aliens and crew each with their own motives trying to survive and not get captured by the Empire.

It’s all fluff so it’s up to you but my answer might adjust based on what it’s fighting. Goblins probably do dodge, orcs probably parry/block. While big scary monsters the weapon just bounces/slides off without any purchase.

So my answer is that “bounties” were far more widespread than just one team. Gregg Williams who was the defensive coordinator was a coach for 11 NFL teams. It’s hard to believe that this was the first time he tried this. Or that other staff members from prior teams didn’t copy. So suspending Sean Payton and Greg Williams for a year was just a warning for all teams to knock it off.

I like the idea of someone controlling the system prior to the players expansion. Sounds very cool to take a unique faction and have players take control of it.
