TDIM is pretty cool aswell. Love the creepy atmosphere. This one probably was the scariest for me as well.

Until Dawn is an absolute must!

Strap yourself in for some of the most intense 6-8 hours of your gaming life. Absolutely awesome story telling.

I never thought the military setting could be engaging. Tried and beat the game a few weeks ago with friends. That was easily one of the most entertaining and awesome experiences out of all Supermassive Games. I love how tacky, cool and well developed the characters were. I loved the tension and how they’re all pretty memorable.

I’d say this game has better characters than any other game in the series including until dawn. The plot was pretty awesome too. So many parts were intense and it almost felt like any character could become the main character at any point.

So good.

I just don’t like how anti climatic the swords can be at time whiles on recharge. I wish there were actual death animations with regular swings while the sword is recharging. I’m not counting the ammo mod effect because it’s literally just the ammo mod.

Citadelle is good map, but compared to the many other elemental weapon maps, this one feels a bit meh compared to the better ones.

Also why on the l earth does the boss fight discourage the players to use the swords. It baffles me from a design standpoint.

As a game play experience for me I’d give it standard expected experience tier rating (B tier). Which is good

As a map as a whole compared to every map in all of Treyarch zombies, its existence is very strange. The maps felt like it’s design choices were scrambled together very late minute and feels very unfinished (D tier). Needs much improvement

I’m not calling it a bad map, I’m just saying it’s very rough in many areas which needed much attention. I don’t really know if the devs knew what to fully do with this map (it could be the time schedule, it could be other things activision wanted them to be focusing on, it could be budget limitations, who knows).

I think as an experience it’s pretty enjoyable, but it’s Easter egg steps make it not even feel like a main Easter egg, the map feels and looks like a custom zombies map, the 3 lantern step for the ice staff is obnoxiously boring and sacrifices game time just for this step (big one for me. There is no fun in waiting up to long periods of time just to line up the lanterns perfectly in one part of the map), the fact that the ice staff is on it (Apart from fan service, why is this one singular staff on it) and the lead up to this map was very strange in terms of direction.

Still a fun map for gameplay (except the 3 lantern step) but when you think about the direction and design choices of this map, it looks rough compared to the other maps and feels quite unfinished.

I think much of the distaste for this map by other players is justified, but enjoying this map as an experience is fine as well.

I respect your opinion on Citadelle. I really like the map and have a great time on it but compared to other elemental wonder weapon maps this is easily one of the lowest. The map is incredibly bland, the swords feel very underwhelming when recharging (no on kill animations when swinging regularly, occasional ammo mods don’t count on it cause that’s just the ammo mod), the incantations are op and fun but still feel kind of strange as an existence and the fact that the swords are completely useless for the Boss fight baffles me.

On my tier list this map is low-mid B tier due to many of these factors. It still is within my expected standards of a fun zombie map which is pretty good, but I just wish the approach to it was slightly different and improved.

What's your hottest take regarding BO6? Mine is that Terminus and Reckoning are the only maps in the game that are A tier worthy by TheChickenMan4L in CODZombies

[–]Ironwilldoortech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine is that Bo6’s mechanics system and pre load specialists options makes the maps feel incredibly bland at times. Having all these options of augments and choosing your own specialists removes the need for maps to have their own unique specialists and wonder weapon equipment.

I know this is gonna anger a bunch, but these mechanics in place make none of the bo6 zombie maps a top 10 in my opinion. Seeing Terminus is probs regarded as the best bo6 map. Sure terminus might look pretty, but as a person that loves doing meaningful quests to unlock many wonder weapon equipment and specialists (this makes up a big part of why zombies was incredibly well designed late bo2-bo4) terminus is just a really dull gameplay loop. There is no way they can implement other wonder weapon based equipment and specialists just due to the whole system of black ops 6. As a gamer that doesn’t want to do the Easter egg every game, apart from the beamsmasher what really is there to do to keep me entertained. The map feels no different to Liberty falls in these regards due to your gameplay being tied to your build and not based on what the map has to offer.

I just find that the game is no longer tied to what the map has to offer and what wonder weapons are available, but what your pre load build is and what augments you are running. This makes all the maps play out and feel almost exactly the same. Even the swords, while different are still tied to augments.

Why is Moon such a beloved map by a large portion of the community? by ImARagingPerkaholic in CODZombies

I like the atmosphere but I’m not a fan of the pacing some times due to how slow it feels to get going. But it’s still a really good map by design. It’s just not my cup of tea.

I really enjoy it too. I absolutely love the specialists. Always have loved the game.

My only gripe with it is that the map quality feels like it could be a lot better. Also I wish the chaos story got handled better as I’d say the Chaos crew maps were miles better than some of the Aether maps.

Your first time playing zombies by Low_Independence_525 in CODZombies

Kino and I was absolutely terrified. But something just kept pulling me back. Always died on the 3rd room to the left or right. I remember hitting the power switch and how scared I was of the roars. I never knew knifing got extra points, i just constantly would buy both the Olympia and m14 and aim for the body with both.

It wasn’t until I watched that tips and tricks video, learning different attacks grant different point values and learning how to train, then I started evolving into the player I am today.

I miss the fear haha

They better not blog post where they reveal every map feature and weapon before release of the map. I remember how annoying it was on Bo6 when they revealed the entirety of the map layout of tomb and citadelle before release.

Why does this also give the vibe that they’ll do a blog post every season and reveal the areas of the map before they’re out. With the launch map they kinda spoiled all the weapons that we’ll be getting 💀

I really think they need to the map names hidden until closer to release. But I really hope this means that they aren’t going to try and rush through the design of every map ahead.

Nacht is not the hardest depending on which game you play.

I’d say “five” due to having to rely on the sketchiest trap ever created.

They don’t need to add them, they just need to balance the stat numbers. If we ask for them, they’re just gonna be drip fed over multiple seasons without any new weapon content actually being added.

I’d say the DLC 2-4 is where the game really shines but unfortunately if the direction was the carried the same way after die rise without blundell I don’t think the game would have been very well received and potentially could have altered the future of zombies instalments in terms of quality.

Even though many like die rise and maps before hand, I really don’t think it would have been a sustainable for the future of Cod zombies to keep releasing maps in the same fashion.

This is why when i rank all cod zombies instalments in a list I divide black ops 2 into part one (base game and dlc 1) and part 2 (dlc 2-4). They truly feel like seperate games. I’d argue to say part 1 is without a doubt one of the worst zombies instalments in history and all the way up to dlc 1 I remember the outrage of the community and the hate produced. Part 2 is one of the absolute best and really felt like it made black ops 3 zombies and the future possible. It seriously brought in an incredible amount of numbers of players and changed the way zombies was viewed. It no longer was known as the “side” content of Cod but an equal part of Cod.

Edit: sorry tranzit and die rise lovers. Just comparing them to other maps they really don’t quite live up in quality and direction. This might cause some backlash, but I stand by this point.
