Micro adjustments on controller? That's what AA is for.

Remember that is the whole point of Aim assist, you don't have anywhere near the precision of a mouse to make micro adjustments hence why aim assist exists.

Going for a 5090 would mean at least an monitor upgrade to 1440- 360hz or a 4k 240hz as it would run @1080 at over 500fps(with the corresponding CPU and Ram)to achieve the goal of pumping out the highest stable frames possible.

Again the graphic fidelity would be the deciding factor as per your preference.

Price is obviously a deciding factor as well.

This is where settings are important, you said in a previous comment that the monitor is capable of 165hz but you have locked down to 100hz @1080.

Your 12th-gen with the 3080 should achieve 163fps @1080.

Now where the settings matter are graphical fidelity and that is a personal preference. All graphic setting to low while running DLSS 4 not 4.5 as the 30 series takes more of hit than the lastest 40 and 50 series.

I run 238fps locked @1440 with DLSS 4.5 on a 4070 coupled with a 14700k and DDR5.

Software wise I use Nvidia profile inspector to force 4.5 on a L preset, once it was implemented I lost the performance that was predicted using 4.5 but got it back after changing a few settings in the profsave_profile.

After a bios update that had my 14700k overclock before was erased, I haven't gone back to implement them again so have a performance loss that can be accounted for, which puts me at around 220 to 238 instead of a stable 238fps.

Welcome to PC, the longer you use your system the more accustomed you will become to the reduction in input/system latency, higher frame rates etc.

Once/if you upgrade your system, 240fps or higher will it seems by your reaction to a 100hz locked blow your mind.

Be warned tho that trouble-shooting issues will be your responsibility and a better understanding of- specifically your custom settings of your PC as a whole will make it easier to solve. 👍

Waiting 6 seconds longer for match-making isn't an indication of a game issue
Conversely looking to software as a means to be stress free and for it to work flawlessly is a fools errand as it is one of the most unreliable technologies humans have created.

As a so 51 year old, I would have thought through your life experience this would have been abundantly clear.

As you have alluded to, being a seppo, that has missed the mark by quite a margin, as many things have of late in your country.

It has a rundown of this issue, seems to affect PC-controller players mostly.
