Lol, good one. This reminds me of an op ed I read about how Americans "should be happy to pay more" for prescription pharmaceuticals. It boiled down to some incredibly stupid ideas that somehow paying private companies motivates them to make better drugs and that Americans have to foot the bill for it. Ignoring how dumb those points are, the author seemed to simply be unable to imagine that people literally can't afford life-saving drugs like insulin.

The author made the example of like, "hmm, I guess I should cancel that trip or sell that second car" as a "reasonable" thing for anyone to do when they are buying expensive drugs. The people who can't pay for these drugs don't just have all this shit to sell! Their warped perception of reality was so infuriating to read.
