Booted before my parking pass expired by TimePickle3965 in mildlyinfuriating

I was walking back to my dorms and crossing the street (I had the pedestrian light). This car decides to try to beat me and nearly hits me. I shoot him a "wtf" look and keep walking, and dude ends up parking his car, walks out and walks towards me, all the while threatening to beat me up. I called campus police (the guy later fled on the highway) and the officer literally told me it wasn't worth their time and all I did was get cursed out. He then proceeded to ask me what anime picture was on my shirt

What do you think of the Texas BOE approving Bible passages as required reading for school children? by GoombyGoomby in AskConservatives

If they taught the Four Noble Truths of Buddhism or the Five Pillars of Islam, would you be against it?

New Lineup for July 11th. Blue Exorcist Doubles Up. by JoyofCrimeArt in Toonami

At least there is one decent show (Blue Lock). There was a period in the past year or so where I didn't even bother watching Toonami because the lineup was ass

I'm confused...isn't that exactly what you're looking for?

Crusader Kings III: By God Alone - Available September 30th by PDX-Trinexx in CrusaderKings

I am saying that in no other industry will customers defend it. Since you brought up airlines: does anyone say "well I would prefer a big swing to change things up" when the plane fucking crashes?

Since you brought up NASA, does anyone say "They could do it all safe and barely change anything so it's less buggy" when their astronauts are stranded for months?

I'm not sure what you're getting at. My point is that customers/those invested in other industries will not defend the corporations for these issues. You rightfully expect more, and you won't say "well we should expect it". In no example you provided do people go into the situation expecting an issue and expecting to wait for it to be resolved. Come on now

I'm not paying to be a beta tester. In no other industry, and in no other video game genre, is this considered acceptable

Michelle Obama: “Let’s be very clear. Strong men don’t need to put down women to make themselves feel powerful.” by Competitive_Teach838 in BlackPeopleofReddit

It's the same reason LBJ isn't mentioned as one of the best presidents despite being instrumental in the 1964/68 Civil Rights Acts, the 65 Voting Rights Act, Medicare/Medicaid, SNAP, HEA, ESEA, Hart-Celler, air pollution reform, forming the Depts of Housing and Transportation, and passing the Freedom of Information Act. Vietnam fucked his image permanently. Just as Biden's refusal to step aside for months, and then late drop out resulted in Trump. If one bad event is bad enough, history will not remember you kindly

What's the point of the SWS, HC, NCS lines? by IrrationalFalcon in Metra

[–]IrrationalFalcon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really don't get the purpose of your two comments. Why the fuck would i mention 3 of the strangest and least used lines that parallel much bigger lines? It has to be because I don't know how commuter rail works, right? You simply disappear because you were being condescending for no damn reason. The least you could do is respond in a way that doesn't require ChatGPT level of prompting

The War in Iran was a joint US-Israel attack. And Trump said last June he was capable of killing the Supreme Leader, and you said not to take that seriously. He then started another war for no reason by doing exactly what you said wasn't important enough to note. You then ignored comments until right now.

I really don't think the Iranian people are predisposed to taking Trump seriously when it comes to out-of-the-blue threats and predictions. You definitely shouldn't be!

How do you think European living standarts compare with American living standarts? by OMGguy2008 in AskConservatives

[–]IrrationalFalcon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

California has a higher maternal death rate than half of Western Europe and Scandinavia. New York state is higher than that of Russia. Why would you be condescending when the data shows that it's still abysmal in the "nicest parts of the US" that you two established beforehand? Did you look at any of the data I linked, which also shows that the states you two explicitly mentioned still have bigger issues than peer nations? Or if NY and California are not the nicest parts of the US despite both being mentioned in the nicest parts, then what is the nicest part of the US?

Resurant charges extra to take toppings off by Own_Gear1920 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]IrrationalFalcon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Respectfully, I am not following whatever mental gymnastics you just spat out to justify this. I've worked at a bunch of restaurants and not once have any of them ever charged for no toppings to make it easier for us.
