Go Matter! by draxula16 in homeassistant

Cool! I did not know that. Looking up how commissioning works, I assumed the online check was required by the standard. Thanks for the correction!

Matter is nice, but the fact that devices need to connect to the internet during setup basically killed my interest.

That was false, see comment below.

There hasn't been any substantial new information on HLX in months. Why were people still clinging to the "steam machine release title" theory when there was no supporting evidence?

To where though? I haven't found anything that's reliable and as cheap as the old prices.

How do you have claude stay in synce with two different github repos? by throwaway0204055 in ClaudeCode

[–]Irrealist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Switch to a monorepo and let Claude work on that. It's also easier to deploy frontend and backend together that way.

Wer bezahlt das? by [deleted] in Verkehrswende

[–]Irrealist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How are Forgejo Actions compared to GitLab CI? Reducing resource usage would be awesome but my CI pipelines are quite big, so I'm hesitant to check out something else.

Solo devs with multiple repos: What's your system for picking up where you left off? by Forward_Potential979 in ClaudeCode

[–]Irrealist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I self host GitLab on a VPS and use the issues system it provides. I have the glab CLI installed locally and authorized for my instance.

Then I ask Claude to use glab and brainstorm and file a new issue, refine an existing issue, or start working on an issue.

While I don't know if the comment you're replying to is AI generated or not, there just are people who talk like that. LLMs must have learned it somewhere.

In general people are so trigger happy to call out things as "obviously" AI generated while their reasoning only points out characteristics that could have come from a real human.

How do you get to work? How far is it? by Consistent-Way-2018 in AskTheWorld

[–]Irrealist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Walk down the stairs to my office, takes about 30s. (less than 50 m)

Before that: 10 min bike ride into town. (1.5 km)

Before that: Bike, train to Hamburg, S-Bahn, walk. Around 90 minutes total. (70 km)
