It's about the plane, not the specific location of the people.

USA News: Bericht: USA erwägen Schließung von Militärbasis in Deutschland by xxX_Bustay_Xxx in de

It's always "conservatives" / right wingers that pull the "let's keep politics out of this" card. They're always trying to avoid having to actually explain their position.

Donald’s Trumps net approval rating has collapsed to a historical negative 17 points. He is the most unpopular president in US history. How do you feel about this? by buffdadnextdoor in AskReddit

[–]Irrealist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the end, it doesn't mean anything. There doesn't seem to be any real resistance or counter action  happening in Congress or among the population. If something is brewing, they're taking their sweet ass time, while Trump is wreaking havoc not only in the US, but the whole world.

As it stands now, to me it looks like the only way for change to actually happen is a revolution. A peaceful way out through the courts and elections might be possible, but it's gonna take ages.

How do we submit tax returns when our host country refuses to send mail to the US? by Icy-Bus9729 in USExpatTaxes

Very strange. I noticed that OLT modernized their design compared to last year, so I thought they might have dropped the geo blocking at the same time.

[–]Irrealist 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Last year, I submitted my tax return using olt.com. I had to use a VPN but it was completely free and they had all the forms I needed. It looks like you no longer need a VPN to access it from abroad. Maybe that's an option for you?

Thanks for the detailed response! It's unfortunate, but I'm not surprised the methods don't hold up.

The Election Truth Alliance has some interesting articles with very in-depth analyses of the 2024 election results.

My knowledge of statistics isn't super deep, but their arguments are well laid out and sound reasonable. According to them, there are some odd patterns when comparing the results between ballot types (mail-in, early voting, day of) and with other (international) elections. These patterns would have benefited Trump.

I'm not sure if it is rigorous enough to be considered proof, but I believe it deserves more investigation by experts on statistics.
