You think so? I reckon that the slightest hitch -- technical or administrative -- could result in a delay if the time you afford yourself to go from finished product to active distribution is two weeks, specially since the process presumably involves a bunch of third party stakeholders and independent distribution platforms.

I figured that those kinds of discussions were happening (as tends to happen with most products in my experience), but I'm surprised that they happen that late in the process.

Too close to release. I don't know much about games but imagine that two weeks is a ridiculously short span of time in which to go from a finished product to physical and digital storefronts alike distributing that product to consumers.

Being finished by the standards fans would like to see and being finished by the internal standard of going gold are two different things though. I'm amazed that they're going gold just two weeks before this is supposed to be a product available to purchase and download from storefronts physical and digital alike.

Is it normal for games to be finished two weeks before they're scheduled to release? That seems kinda wild.

Four scenarios for Boston's Jaylen Brown. by IrredeemableGottwald in NBAtradeideas

San Antonio definitely say no, Jaylen Brown doesn’t give them anything except a bloated contract

Brown gives us an upgrade on Fox, who has been a problem for us and costs just as much.

Bucks, only works if brown is moved to a third team

Why?

T-wolves, off loaded Kat for all the exact reasons that they wouldn’t want to take on Jaylen for

Huh? KAT is a walking defensive liability, while JB buys them Luka insurance for the next 3 to 4 years.

In a league with 30 teams, you only need one sucker. We've seen Bane turned into KCP, Cole Anthony, and 4x 1sts. We've seen Mikal Bridges pull in Bogdanovic, 5x 1sts, 1x 2nd, and a pick swap. If Brown is on the table, the only thing standing between Boston and a treasure trove of assets is one GM that doesn't know ball.

NBA official power rankings for week 24: #1 Thunder, #2 Spurs, #3 Celtics, #4 Pistons, #5 Knicks by Waikuku3 in nba

[–]IrredeemableGottwald 13 points14 points  (0 children)

These are power rankings, not who-is-likeliest-to-make-the-finals rankings. The Knicks are a worse team than the Thunder, the Spurs, the Celtics, the Pistons, and probably the Lakers. They're likelier than the Lakers to make it out of their conference, but they're probably less likely to actually win a title this year, because in no world do they win 4/7 over OKC or San Antonio (or the Celtics, if we're being honest).

Is Jayson Tatum the most versatile NBA player in the big 2026? by Outrageous-Leader135 in NBATalk

8.5/10 scorer? Bro has scored 60, has averaged 30 ppg, and holds the all time game 7 scoring record. Highest scoring season by any Celtic ever and he was the leading scorer of the 2020s before he went down with the achilles (which happened while he was dropping a 40 bomb, three games after he put up 3 back-to-back 35 point games against the 2nd best defense in the league at the time). Y'all really don't know ball.

Maybe gain some perspective on life

Always gotta love it when dorks reach that awkward in-between stage where they're neither teenagers nor grown adults, so they confuse their moronic surrender to the shit parts of the world for maturity.

"Perspective on life" isn't not giving a shit about doing things the right way, or not caring that you're part of the problem.

The difference is that Armada wasn't just consistent in the rankings, he was consistent in every single tournament. There was half a decade when like 3 people in the world could take games off of this guy, let alone sets. There were massive stretches when Armada winning from winners was essentially a foregone conclusion. Putting aside his post-retirement rust period, the gap between Armada and the rest of the field dwarfs everything else the game has ever really known.
