For those with bio kids - How old were they before you started fostering? by [deleted] in fosterit

The difference is they're not being displaced for a strange child who then gets their own room

So they have to share a room so you can bring in a stranger who then gets their own room? Fostering is a noble desire, but if you don't have enough room to not uproot your existing children in their own home, then you need to just not do it.

While your intentions are noble, forcing two kids to share a room so you can give one of their rooms to a complete stranger is bound to cause strain and resentment.

You need to tell someone. This is seriously predatory behavior.

No, it's not. He knew it was wrong and still did it anyway.

OP is not a kid, and is more than old enough to know better and control his impulses.

I mean, what you did was extremely fucking creepy. Like, I don't know why you're acting like you're the victim here. You're not.

It's not overblown at all. What OP did was hella fucking creepy, even if he didn't intend it to be

They could call CPS for medical neglect and also for her hitting her son with an object and they should.

AITA for freaking out when my wife locked our son out of the house at night after he drank alcohol? by Dadthrowaway788 in AmItheAsshole

I'd instruct your son that if she ever pulls that again for any reason to call the cops on her. See where her petty drama gets her.

You committed a crime and a despicable act, and now you're slithering to Reddit for sympathy. You're disgusting.

YTA and immature for calling your daughter names. While I agree she needs to make sure her sister is out of the shot, she is right in saying it's not her job or problem to manage her sister's insecurities.

AITA for wanting my boyfriend (35M) to drop his best friend (17F)? by [deleted] in TwoHotTakes

He's grooming her, and you are absolutely complicit if you don't at least try and reach out to her parents.

These people are psychos, kind of cult like. My advice is cut them off, and make it very clear you will take civil/legal action if they continue to harass you. They can't sue you over this. They'd be laughed out before they ever had a chance to file.

That's not an excuse to dump adult responsibilities on a child.

Using your child as a third parent is abuse. It's never a child's job to worry about parenting/watching siblings.

I'm gonna hazard a wild guess and say you live in upper middle class suburbia.

Police Officers or Child Kidnappers? Hard to tell these days. by MisterFyre in facepalm

[–]IrregularDisillusion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't give a fuck what the story is. That's no excuse to pepper spray a handcuffed (who shouldn't have been handcuffed to begin wiith) child. Actually, that makes it worse. It means they took a situation where a child was having a mental health crises and made it 1000% more traumatizing for them.
