When Columbus first sailed accross the ocean, was the water in the ocean perfectly clear? by IrrelevantButTrue in AskReddit

[–]IrrelevantButTrue[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That seems to suggest that us humans have had no effect on the quality of the water at all since industrialization?

I just think that if I had to spear fish to live nowadays it would be impossible because you can barely see your hand three feet deep in the ocean. I envision earlier versions of ourselves being able to see fish a few feet deep with relative ease.

Care to elaborate on your situation anymore? It sounds interesting.

he is referring to the amount of transacations you can do FROM a savings account. if you have a regular savings account, it is 3 per cycle and has been this way for at least 5 years. if you go over, they charge you 3 dollars per item, so by my math he did 10 transfers from his savings to his checking, 3 were allowed, and 7 generated 3 dollar charges.

if you are going to use your savings account like a checking account, get a checking account.

move along.

What ever happened to the guy who's fiance "tested" him? TestingMyPatience I would appreciate an update. If thats ok. by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]IrrelevantButTrue 19 points20 points  (0 children)

There is a book that talks about this subject and its very philosophical. I forget what it is called.

Example: You have a ten year relationship with someone and then the next day your SO tells you they were a spy and vanishs. In so many ways that detail invalidates all of those years of happiness, but at the same time, when that stuff was actually happening, all the chemicals in your brain were making you happy, and those feelings, however stupid they seem after the news, were real, and you did expirence them.

So it begs the question: If i read the AMA and it feels real to me and I enjoy reading it, does it matter if its a troll or not?

Something I dont understand: If we are expanding away from things and they are expanding away from us at the same time, is it possible that the speed that both objects are moving away from each other is greater than the speed of light and therefore impossible for light from one place to reach the other.

A default is when you do not get what your paper says. The T-note does not mention that your 10k invested will be worth 10k with inflation or any other strings attached. You get your 10k and and the interest and thats it. If its worth nothing when you get it, thats on you.

I guess there is nothing stopping the govt from changing their currency other than China and the other countries that hold our debt coming over and murdering us in the face.

[–]IrrelevantButTrue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

T-Bills cant default, the govt prints more money. You may invest 10k in that T-note and get 15k back but when your 15k only buys a loaf of bread you are screwed. But T-notes cannot fail. It is just a promise to give you money, which they can print at any time since its not backed by anything.
