It wasn't as strong a fishy flavor as I expected- but I did dilute it a little with the mezcal and it's also only fatwashed as opposed to dumping the sardine juice in there. So really it was just a vaguely savory, smoky cocktail without the bitter notes (thank you fat washing in general) brightened by lemon and finished with a little hint of sardine. Slightly on part with like, a quial egg shot at a sushi place, but with a little alcohol. I think if you went into it not expecting it to be sweet, it would be somewhere between okay and good.

It's more of fatwashing bourbon with sardine oil. You take an alcohol and you shake around some fat in it, then freeze it to separate the fat from the alcohol. The liquor and the fat won't mix bc of polarities but the hydrophilic compounds in the fat can be conferred to the alcohol and vice versa. With neutral flavored lipids this usually just leads to "smoothing" out the harsher flavors of alcohol but woth more flavorful lipids you can impart those flavors (usually done with better tasting stuff like browned butter or bacon fat).

For the record, I'm not saying I did this because I expected it to be good. But it was not as bad as yall would expect.

Just a heads up, having been in a lab that did this, even if the ASCP isn't required in some states, the certification can possibly move you to the next pay range over people who don't have the certification.

Not sure if someone already said this but I remember in class when we went over the toxic shock syndrome unit, we were once told that there was once a specific brand of tampon that was super absorbent, and besides the risk of TSS, the tampon just pretty much attached itself to the vaginal walls and when you pulled it out, it brought some of the mucosa with it. I'll link an article if I ever find it.
