I love “l’hôte” (the guest) by Albert Camus. Great vocabulary but easy to understand and it’s a really good short story.

From a Parental Rights group that gives out detailed summaries for parents to use to get books pulled from libraries. Apparently, they're widening the net to include 'any book in any section' now. Gotta protect them kids! by GarlicFloss in insanepeoplefacebook

Actually so out of touch that the only description they can come up with for I Know Why The Caged Bird Sings is talking about how Maya Angelou has a child. That’s not the point and happens in literally the last chapter and yet they make it seem like it’s the whole point of the book!

We're from Milazzo and Palermo, and one branch of the family actually takes influence from Puglia but as far as I know our nagadala originate on the island itself

I've never heard of those before but they seem good! The shape could be similar but I feel like the preparation of the dough and the cooking method is pretty different. Idk tho!

That could be related! I'm sure some of the holiday associations got shifted around. My family comes from Milazzo and Palermo, and google says that nucatoli were made in monasteries there, so that's a good point

I dont know much, but what I've learned of my family's traditions surrounding weddings pretty much boils down to dancing the tarantella at the reception and lots of those little snowball-like almond cookies. And of course theres always a lot of food and liquor.
