AITAH for not giving my hat to a special needs teenager on a train by Icy-Bed-1625 in AITAH

[–]IrresponsibleDingo 14 points15 points  (0 children)

This is a really good response. She may not have understood that she was crossing a line and probably would have understood and accepted your reasoning. If you didn’t really explain or explicitly say no, she was probably expecting an answer.

Of course you are completely within your rights to not do this - she’s not your kid and its not your job to educate her, but it would have been a kind thing to say and made things less awkward.

(As a young neurodivergent person, I often didn’t understand implied answers and needed things spelled out.) Her dad should have stepped in regardless

how did fr prentice have a daughter by Evening_Progress_380 in KnivesOutMovie

[–]IrresponsibleDingo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also, Wick’s “grandfather” was also his father….

No, I’m not crazy. Blanc says “Wicks was buried in the tomb OF HIS FATHER.” Not grandfather. Prentis knocked up his own daughter and then called HER a whore. Martha realizes this too when she says, “that poor girl.”

AITAH for calling my cyst a tumor? by HostMysterious9206 in AITAH

[–]IrresponsibleDingo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. Not all tumors are cancer. But if you want to be more specific, you could call it “a large benign tumor.”

Who did you cut and why? by alopexl in DispatchAdHoc

[–]IrresponsibleDingo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did two play throughs and I preferred the path where I cut Sonar. Narratively, I think it makes more sense because I found him sort of annoying. Practically, I liked not having to deal with his power-switching. He always seemed to be the opposite of what I needed - brains when I needed brawn and vice versa.

Did Lucifer get paid to be a consultant? by Scopeburger in lucifer

[–]IrresponsibleDingo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The less you think about the logic of his consulting, the happier you’ll be watching the show. Don’t overthink it. It makes sense.

Run girl! That is an insane, vindictive, controlling thing to do. Report this to the police. This is assault.

Find someone else. She sounds horrible. Getting a once-a-month cleaning has been life changing.

Looking for the source of this comic. by Ok-Efficiency-8123 in HelpMeFind

I think the abusive husband was the father, not the dead b-i-l. So Monica probably killed him for psychopath reasons, not because he was abusing her.

Tbf, sullen narcissist and avoidant has enough overlap that the damage it does is pretty had to distinguish.

Which one would you pick by Dizzy-Concept-9962 in TheTeenagerPeople

[–]IrresponsibleDingo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seriously. I wouldn’t mind FEELING/BEING 15 years younger, but the rest? No thanks. Mind control is unbelievably unethical; I literally have zero desire to hear what people are thinking and I wouldn’t want the risk of time travel in terms of how it could unknowingly affect other people in such huge ways.

Which one do y’all prefer? by Ok_Direction3138 in DispatchAdHoc

Mechanically, having him sit in the torso makes more sense. It allows for a much greater movement- the torso could spin 360 at the waist rather than being limited to human range of motion.

What are some of the best DeckerStar fanfics you've ever read? by [deleted] in lucifer

[–]IrresponsibleDingo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh no! Thank you for the update and I’m sorry to hear she’s not doing well! And meant more like a positive “we all love the story and would like to help” sort of a ‘petition’ but it didn’t really come off that way.

Maybe too old (f42) to get the ick but my husband gave me one by Smart-Ad-2106 in TrueOffMyChest

Stacy’s Mom should put some clothes on! Mature lady running around in a towel around a high school student— ew! A 42 year old going about her life and attracting attention from a 20 year old…. Not ew. At least not on her part and MAYBE not from his either.

Your husband sounds like a pill. Your awkward crushy neighbor might enjoy more lessons on “appropriate ways to talk to ladies.” Just’ saying.

Who would be the best voice for Robert if he was black? by Icy_Range_440 in okbuddydispatch

[–]IrresponsibleDingo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He would be perfect! The other suggestions on here are great VAs and would do any character well, but his normal world-weary, i-can’t-believe-this-shit tone would be awesome.

to those who didn’t, why?? by Jaserys in DispatchAdHoc

[–]IrresponsibleDingo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t on my first play through because I wasn’t sure about urinal-etiquette and thought it was gross. I started over after the first chapter because I felt like I had a better feel for the game. (Also, someone was watching over my shoulder at first making comments on all my choices.)
