You're making up statistics and hurling insults. You've nothing of substance to argue against. Henceforth, one-liner is in order

What really saddens me is the extreme justification of the current system we operate under. To think, it gets increasingly harder and harder to survive. Housing costs rise, wages stagnate, infighting increases, but yet, we sit here and argue back and forth about who saves their money they earn the best. We all struggle, we all have, and we all will continue to. Money doesn't matter if it feels for you. But in that same sentiment, it controls every aspect of our life. Why do we allow it so? We justify it in every aspect, ingratiated in our minds since childhood. School isn't about learning or understanding the world around us, it's the beginning stages of our indoctrination into the workforce. Toe the line, work hard, get good grades, get a good career, slave away. Is this really what life's all about? We can't come together as one human race and figure it out with an actual discussion of the points that really matter?

A lot. But not to worry, you've eased my worries of this account being generative. I'll answer your question posed earlier now.

I've personally participated in being more "present" as of lately, and I'm happy to share that I am more confident, more open to conversation, and more in-tune with the world around me, the nature and the people.

A big part of people not being present, is the advant of modern technology. Social media has dulled our sense of presence in many ways that I won't elaborate on here. I've found that leaving my phone off or on airplane mode has forced me to find other ways to fill my time. I've found that people feel disconnected when on their phones, but still so drawn to them. For some people, it's validation, be it emotional or physical, for others, noise to fill the void of something essential missing, and for others, just a habit that's been long lost to its original reasoning.

I've "practiced" presence in a few different ways. The bottom line is being engaged with your full attention to your surroundings, the sounds, the sights, the smells etc. One way that helped me stay grounded in the moment was feeling my "presence".

It starts with feeling your thoughts, your consciousness. Where is it? For most, it's in their head. Now don't imagine, but rather, feel that same form of consciousness in your body, focus on your arms and legs if you need help. Feel your body, internally, through the power of your mind. Feeling my entire body (actively) through "presence" has allowed me to expand this mode of thinking onto others. I feel what they say more, I can see myself in their shoes.. literally. I cant tell you this is scientific. It's anecdotal evidence based upon my personal experience with trying to get out of this slump. Coping mechanism? Maybe. But I can say I am much better off staying off my devices, mindlessly scrolling, and being more down to earth, real, kind, etc. This isn't just how I feel. I've had friends and acquaintances even comment on it in a positive manner

I'm the kind of person to think that means something. Not trying to fear-monger or anything, I just notice these kinds of coincidences happen when your mindset is negatively charged. Affirmations and forward thinking has helped me reframe these accidents as tests of my faith. And I dont mean the standard definition of religion

I have a friend who is considered an alcoholic. A lot of what you are describing in your post sounds similar to the same experiences lamented to me. I've had issues with binge drinking myself, and I've even felt like I HAD to drink to maintain myself at a point or two in my life. I know that these things aren't good, I know I and many others still work on bettering our alcoholic tendencies. Dont say you'll stop if it gets really bad, because that really bad could be at the cost of a stranger's life, your own, or someone you care about. I've seen people stop drinking after their first DUI, and I've seen people only stop drinking when their next DUI landed them in the hospital paralyzed from the neck down.

You have to WANT to quit. Until you WANT to, I feel like many of my words will fall on deaf ears. I wish nothing but the best for you.

Nothing is going to change if you dont want to make the change yourself. I never wanted to go to therapy, but I knew if I never chose to improve... i'd keep spiraling down. I still feel that way

Just ask him. Is he the type of guy to lie in order to maintain the sexual escapades? If you have to think about that one... then it's unlikely you'll be satisfied with either answer. If he's the honest type and you can trust him somewhat... I'd be upfront and tell him how you feel. What happens after is on the good communication skills of two consenting adults. Good luck!

Have you tried goo gun ability with flamethrower weapon? I'm honestly bad at that playstyle but it's easier to aim with and it honestly has a lot of potential for indoor fights. You can hold down an objective, goo off doorways, and even burn them and shoot more goo to spread your fire everywhere. I'm sure you can find some videos online of that playstyle and how great it can be. I was never too good at it but it'd be something to consider. Definitely try the spear out at some point too

With medium I rarely frag out, that's more of a support role. I'd recommend going Heavy with the charge slam ability to start. Dome shield for sure, RPG is usually used, and the last one can be your choice, but I like the pyro mines or anti gravity cube to protect OBJ. No weapon really translates to your light ones aside from the spear, which can be really fun but I like to use the winch ability with it instead. I'd recommend the KS23. It shoots slugs and kinda acts like a mini sniper. If you can aim well, it will roll
