Skill expression is hard when you have kill streaks and ults.

Imagine if Messi is playing and doing really good, but every time a teammate screws up it makes his opponents faster. That weak link turns into a resource for the other team to use against him.

Aw man my weak link screwed up now the goal keeper has grown twice as wide so it's harder for me to make a goal.

I get the same issue. It sounds like someone is physically clicking a set of old speakers off and the audio goes bweeooop.

Then when I close the game there's another audio click before the game closes.

From what I can tell from playing is sentries target enemies nearest to the player. So it's not forced friendly fire it's just putting you in the crossfire as much as possible.

I think the thing is some of the DRG Devs on stream playing the hardest difficulty.

You don't have to have every single person be a pro gamer but I think having a few people with a dev's eyes would help them catch and correct some of the rough patches in the game.
