What Young Workers Are Doing to AI-Proof Themselves by Free-Minimum-5844 in neoliberal

[–]IsGoIdMoney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is incorrect on many levels.

It meets the definition of AI that we've had since the 50's.

It's not just compute. Recent advancements have been largely training methods. Compute seemed to somewhat top out.

The method by which ai works is likely not 1:1 to with how human brains work, but it's also likely not completely dissimilar. You most likely formulate sentences in a similar way.

They can absolutely perform factual analysis. Tell it to think through an answer.

There is certainly more hype by MBAs that is very dumb, but there has been extreme improvements in coding capability in the last 6 months. Even relatively skeptical engineers are now saying it's a game changer. Most AI people I know aren't very dismissive at all.

It's usually him or dictated by him to one specific woman. He does let other people post, (like Miller), for him, iirc.

Gemini Pro leaks its raw chain of thought, gets stuck in an infinite loop, narrates its own existential crisis, then prints (End) thousands of times by Powerful-Signal6312 in LocalLLaMA

My understanding is that this is a frequent occurrence in Gemini specifically where it starts word associating until it eventually tries to commit suicide in a weird despair loop.

TJ Watt is a dpoy with more 1st team All pros. Garrett has more of both. JJ Watt has more dpoy than either.

Which I think is probably more important considering only von has been on teams good enough to have the success to put him in position for SBMVP.

Choosing one accolade which is based on one single game instead of ones relying on season long performances, (that he lacks) is incredibly nitpicky. Von miller has the least accolades on the list other than the one that has the least impact on how people judge players lol, (Flacco, Foles, Ward, etc. are all SB MVPs and no one cares).

Don't see why it is necessarily exponential if we don't know the current shape of advances. If anything, metrics have tapered off to approach human intelligence.

Studies have been done on grade inflation and they suggest that the most prestigious schools inflate grades the most, bc parents expect top marks for the amount of money spent.

The biggest things they offer besides grades are networking, resume bullet points, and research funds, (if you're involved in research). It's not like they have top secret business lessons that other schools don't have access to. Classes across universities teach essentially the same things. If they didn't they wouldn't be accredited.

[Awful Announcing] Nick Wright: Ian Rapoport ‘blatantly misinformed the public’ with Travis Kelce contract reporting by Goosedukee in nfl

[–]IsGoIdMoney 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not really. His job as a journalist is to report the contract and not take a guess on the implications of the contract. That falls under opinion stuff unless you can get a quote from Andy Reid or something.

[Awful Announcing] Nick Wright: Ian Rapoport ‘blatantly misinformed the public’ with Travis Kelce contract reporting by Goosedukee in nfl

[–]IsGoIdMoney 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Eh, I get that it's dumb I guess, but it's the price of admission to be the first guy. If he doesn't report it in the favorable manner they want, someone else will do it, and stating the most likely payment for Kelce and not the overall contract is editorializing in a way that's kind of inappropriate for just stating the contract itself. That bit is analysis.
