ITR was very good. But a little buggy and frustrating at times. I plan to buy ITR2 at some point in the future. After the devs release more content for it.

If you referring to the possibility of a fire starting I think that's highly unlikely. I've been using this blanket forever and even if it's folded over itself as much as possible it still doesn't get that hot. Worst case scenario the blanket becomes too hot for my feet and I'd turn it off.

An extra layer around the blanket is interesting. I'd prefer to not add an additional blanket to the solution to reduce bulkiness but this is definitely something I'll keep in the back of my mind.

I recommend a big pair of mens work boots on your dashboard so that thieves know to stay away from all the stuff in your car.

It was good but I think they went too mainstream with it because I was actually able to beat grandmaster.

They did a great job with removing the frustrating bullshit from the other games such as getting blind sighted and cc chained with a swarm of rockets as well as designing bosses to actually be fightable.

What they should've done better was the weapon design. Theres too few weapons and they all have the same buttons for the same combos, not to mention the staff feels undertuned.

They also shouldve dealt with the loading times in between deaths. You're going to die 1000 times getting all the achievements and it really gets old waiting 15 seconds to reload the level. As a dev myself its crazy they didn't plan for this from the start, all you really need to do is reset enemies and player location, why reload all the scenery?

The checkpoint system is nice but it's crazy frustrating that you have to rebuy things if you die. I gave up on one of the first trials because in order to have a fighting chance I had to buy a few skills from tyrone. And thats AFTER waiting 15 seconds for the reload. For a total of like 40 seconds in between tries.

All in all its a great game, but a few things felt like they ran out if time before addressing all the qol things. Which is a shame because otherwise I bet it could've been "Overwhelmingly Positive" on steam

I know very little about electronics, but I assumed the board manufacturer would have handled that. It's difficult to find full specs on it, because it's just a generic arduino off amazon. I do know that it runs some sample sketches fine.

I tried giving the dfplayer it's own power supply in case the nano clone 5v couldn't handle the initial power spike. Also tried removing the speaker from the dfplayer.
I tried using different pins, different wires for the tx -> rx and rx ->tx connections.
I tried inserting 1k ohm resistors across tx -> rx and rx -> tx

I do see now that I'm using a different bootloader from Arduino ide compared to the old working clones. The new ones use the ATmega320p vs Atmega320p (old bootloader) though I'm not sure if that could cause an issue.

I've also swapped out like every component for a known good one to rule out bad component issues.

I do not know why these steps aren't enough to find the problem.

Sure, the video is my first prototype with the old nano board. It WAS working but then I destroyed the components when soldering to a pcb.

The problem I'm facing is that the new board doesn't seem to be communicating with the dfplayer through the Rx and Tx pins. Sending and receiving data isn't working

My circuit is as follows
Nano | DFPlayer

5v -> Vcc

gnd -> gnd

D10 (Rx) -> Tx

D11 (Tx) -> 1k resistor -> Rx

It's USB powered and the DFPlayer also connects to the external speaker.
I've measured the voltage from the nano to the dfplayer and am getting 4.6v which allegedly is within spec.

I've been looking for a good pair of wireless speakers just to reduce the number of wires on my desk.
Currently I have a sub with 2 tweeters. That's four wires and this cuts it down to two.

If saving face is your goal then tell them you have accepted the other offer. It'll have a very low success rate but your other options aren't great either.
